Alas, no. Feminists kicked the men out of all the basket-weaving schools in Australia.

Btw that last rejection seems to have hurt you quite badly to be in such a state, maybe you should try and date you know, within your league...

That's where the Fleshlight comes into play.

I wonder how many of those who trash RM realize they are in fact providing support for his complaints.

How so? I don't think he's screwed up the nerve to proposition anybody on here.

I guess you are not one of those who realize it. can't say i am all that surprised.
By just belittling and ridiculing him you are proving his contention that men who do speak up against women and feminism are belittled and ridiculed.

Now I grant there is much to ridicule in what he and his compatriots say, but giving in to the temptation (which I admit I do at times) only reinforces the idea in their minds, and in fact demonstrates the validity of the claim. Far better to just ignore them I think, or engage them (in the case of this poster, that is a waste of time, as every time anybody has attempted to do so he has proven that he has no actual interest in discussing whatever issue he has raised).

Quite. That'll be why there's no man to be found the media who isn't a paid up feminist stooge.

I applaud where you're coming from with that thought, TDC, but I think RM will find the support he requires for his utterly intransigent views no matter what anyone says. As I believe I've said before: you could chuck a grenade at RM's head and still nothing would move inside of it.

No-one is ever going to change the mind of a mono-maniacal obsessive like rm. Absolutely everything that ever happens or anything that anyone ever says will only ever reinforce his beliefs. All reasoned arguments or good advice are just wasted energy. Ignoring him would be the adult response.

True, however, by just ridiculing him, we are proving to onlookers that he has a point. Is that really what you want to do?

I must admit that by ridiculing him I thought that we'd be proving to onlookers that he doesn't have a point, actually. Especially as it happens every time he says anything, and the ridicule comes from almost everybody.

True, myself included. I have just had one of those wake up moments where it dawned on me that by doing so i was in fact having the exact opposite effect as the one I had thought I was.
So I figured I'd point it out. I'm not surprised that so far the reaction has been negative/dismissive. Nobody likes it when it is pointed out that they are doing the wrong thing. Hell, I wasn't happy when it dawned on me either, but that doesn't really alter the accuracy of the realization.

To be honest, I am always left puzzled because he claims to be a D type, I wasn't aware that excessive whining is a very dominant characteristic...

Basically all he ever whines about is that women are too picky, so he's broadcasting that he never makes the grade, I can't say I am very surprised...

Way too convoluted, TDC. Most people will assume that we ridicule RM's opinions not because they have something in them but because they *don't* have anything in them and are, in fact, ridiculous.

This reminds me of that dilemma of cod-psychoanalysis: If you disagreed with your shrink's view of you, that showed you were 'resisting his analysis' and that, deep down, you agreed with him. If you *agreed* with his analysis ... well, you agreed with him so ... end of discussion. Nup. Been there, done it.

I thought he was a sub. Though ... actually, I'm not sure I ever really thought about it. You often can't tell just by someone's opinions.

I disagree, obviously. I think you give people too little credit.

But hey, thinking that way will allow you to indulge your desire to ridicule and belittle him, so knock yourself out there babe.

I saw this thread earlier but didn't get a chance to comment until now. ThatDizzyChick is exactly right and that's what i said a while ago when i was newer i said something to RM in one of the threads that everyone was criticizing him ... i said something to the effect that everyone was proving him right and he agreed...

I don't have a desire to ridicule and belittle him. I have a desire for him to engage in discussion. But he's never done that. He will just keep posting his opinions, over and again. That habit, for me, has come to seem like a straightforward propaganda technique: just keep on blasting the same message till it's somehow absorbed. In the process he's been pretty damned insulting, too. You might want to consider that the real problem is that *he* gives his opponents too little credit.

What would the alternative be? Just leave him to it? Nod thoughtfully and carefully consider his view, for instance, that the person he's talking to is a 'fat feminist cunt'?

I haven't seen you engaging with his views in the way you seem to want us all to do it to date. Whatever it is you want us to do, why don't you go ahead and show us by example?

Actually, if anything, the opposite is true. For me, he produces supporters of the opposing point of view. I keep seeing people turning up to support feminism, for instance, who I'd never have guessed as supporters otherwise.

The same point applies to you as to TDC, tamaka. If you support his views, by all means go ahead and say how and why you support them. Show the rest of us where we're going wrong. But don't just appeal to us all to be nice in the face of the plain nastiness that RM continues to throw around here. That isn't going to fly.

I'm going to totally agree with Peon here.

It's not the fact that we are all just piling on RM because he has a difference of opinion. It's totally his delivery system that stinks. He's a hypocrite, a bigot, and just plain childish. More than that though there is just no discussion at all. This, I think, is the first real thread I've engaged in with him because I don't bother with the P+R stuff, but just look at the drivel he spouts. It's not a conversation, it's just a barrage of abuse, that he thinks he has a right to do, at people he does not know, based solely on body type just because he has a bee in his panties about how SOME of these women have the audacity to have the exact same standards as everyone else.

If you in any way try to come back at him he sees you as the exact same as those women, a target for abuse.

That is not a reasonable person, and certainly not the person that you claim is right. The way I see it, if you can't take it, don't dish it out in the first place, but I most certainly am not going to stand by whilst someone admits to deliberately joining groups to openly insult people, and hurt them. You can think that is right all you like, but for me, I think he's despicable for doing it.
