I haven't seen you engaging with his views in the way you seem to want us all to do it to date.

I have tried, and I already said he has proven there is no point in trying to engage him. Pay attention.

And yet whilst you claim to be ignoring him you fail to see the irony of still taking part in his threads to tell the rest of us what we ought to be doing ... three individual posts alone taking this particular thread to its sixth page ... and ignoring the fact that we're all adults that can do as we see fit

Yep, it tends to slip out. You just have to take my word for it that it's better than what he'd get from me otherwise.

Still the bulk of the stuff he's said in the last week or so I've left alone. Others have weighed in instead. If his threads were just to disappear down and off the page, I'd usually be happy to let that happen. Actually, though, his threads do more often than not get commented on, so they stay there on the front page, barking at any reader who comes by. I'm not always going to let him propagandise with impunity (and that is exactly how his threads look: like the forum equivalent of hoardings by the road bellowing this or that political view).

So, in short: you do it your way, and the rest of us will do it our own, individual, ways. OK?

I've ignored him for YEARS, actually I think close to a decade now. Because every post by him is the same thing, there's no need to read it or respond...(and only did on this one because of this)

Just don't reply to his threads

Because we all know that by ignoring somebody, they will magically go away.

I am, I am ignoring him.

By posting on OP's thread, you are contributing to keeping it alive.
At any rate, even if each and every one of OP's threads slipped into oblivion, he would simply keep churning out the same ole drivel. He really can't help himself.

I thought he was a sub. Though ... actually, I'm not sure I ever really thought about it. You often can't tell just by someone's opinions.

Nicky was a sub for most of his posting history. [Foot] Fetishist bottom, more accurately. As rm, he recently bragged about how he's gotten his 1-3 playmates to Top him.
In between incarnations, he's popped up as a switch (not counting a couple of fake female profiles he experimented with).

Isn't it because everyone loves conflict and drama? I know I do! I don't know how anyone can claim they value serious discussion while ignoring practically every post except for the ones that provoke them the most... I guess it's not exactly a great feeling to admit that you have too much time on your hands and enjoy being pissed off and pissing others off in the same way you used to pick on your little sister or whatever (and she used to get in some good shots of her own every now and then as well), but that's almost definitely what it is for me!

The P and R forum is an ongoing shitstorm... the lack of moderation and constant risk/expectation of personal attack is what makes it great. It's a guilty, mindless pleasure, sort of like watching a TLC reality show or something. I know for a fact that you get off on deeply personal, painfully judgmental attacks, tamaka-- it's what I like about you.

RM's threads are only fun when everyone is cutting him down... actually taking them seriously would be so so so boring. Everyone knows that he deserves it, and it's so easy. It has nothing to do with what he says, and everything to do with the fact that he has absolutely no self-control and is easily provoked. I'm pretty much a full-blown troll at this point and he makes ME feel like I'm making valued contributions to the forum.

I've run across more than a few anti-feminist types online, but they usually have that sort of overconfident bully thing going on, have a certain charm and give me the impression that they look after themselves and might even get laid in real life... there are actually things that I hate to admit I respect about them. They also tend to have a good sense of how not to appear weak to others. They probably work out on a regular basis as well, which usually takes a certain degree of self-discipline and leads to greater confidence.

RM is not one of those-- he's more like some sort of phony crusader who is mentally about 6 years old. He strikes me as one of those guys who can't get laid so tells himself he doesn't want sex anyways, and pouts and whines and complains and tries to convince others that they shouldn't be getting laid either, because most women are horrible and they're just playing into their evil trap. He is possible the weakest, whiniest person on this entire board... and also not very clever. I think he might even be overweight or really skinny-- definitely something about him besides his personality is unattractive in real life. As such, he's an easy target.

Simply responding to him isn't proving him right. If I got the impression anyone actually felt threatened by what he was saying, I might think there's something to it, but everyone just sort of makes fun of him and considers him harmless. In fact, he's such an underdog that I can't even be really mean to him... I'm actually kind of pulling for him.

No-one said you had to keep taking part either, to keep telling everyone else what they ought to do, whilst ignoring your own advice, so ya know. I actually really don't need you passive aggressively telling me what I ought to do. Again, I'm an adult, I'll do it MY way thanks, whilst you carry on posting in the OP's thread, that you claim to be ignoring, telling everyone else that they should be ignoring him.

Well anyways... back to the OP... i disagree with him to some extent. A lot of the male profiles i have looked at seem to have standards... if they are someone that i would actually be interested in anyways. I do think though for those of us who have been through a lot of shit, you tend to be more understanding of the different situations that people may be in at any given time.

As I recall, I've been here for quite a few years, and this is the first time I've engaged with him. Like I said, I don't bother with the bargain basement of P+R.

How's ignoring him working out for you ... still here posting on his thread?

^ that alone gave me a good laugh. Besides a lot of other posts in here.

I could reply to plenty from what is said and I will to as much as I can when I'm in the mood and have a wider space of time to do so....crikey, hours worth of investment here.

RM does actually have points. As one of you said his delivery system sucks as does his ability to offer balance..or to accept that many huwmans, of all sexes, can be shallow.
