We can't have that. If we let people smack us around they will continue to do it. When someone hits you, your DUTY to humanity is to deter them from doing it again, lest they come across your Grandmother next time. You must hurt them so badly that they cannot smack anyone for a time.

That's what they used to do to Wife beaters in the old west. they see a Woman with bruises they put a burning something on the porch, this is a warning. they see more bruises then that guy is dragged out, not a word spoken, and then beaten within an inch of his life. No stupid restraining order, none of that horseshit. And the next time they see him in town it is "Hi, how you been ?" and everyone knows he is a fucking coward asshole who beats up Women. Well used to anyway.

Turning the other cheek promotes more crime. You need to make people afraid to commit crimes, which is why I advocate the mass carrying of guns by law abiding people. I think there should be so many armed people in any given place that nobody would be dumb enough to try anything. (and they are pretty fucking dumb)

Here's one forya, two thugs go to rob a restaurant, one armed illegally. A lawfully armed patron shoots and kills one them. his cousin calls for stricter gun control because her cousin might be alive now. she never thought about her cousin being a thug and threatening innocent lives of people who simply wanted to eat some food.

I say I agree, the guy should go back to the shooting range because then maybe he could have killed both of the pieces of shit.

Sure, sack me and I will turn the other cheek, and then turn around and shoot you in the lower gut where it will perforate your intestie and I will watch you die from peritonitis.

That is MY version of turning the other cheek.

DO NOT RESPOND GRETA. you are not here, you do ot know the people and how they are. You have no idea how it is here and never fucking will. Let's just say the TV does not depict reality and let it at that.

Just kill all these nuts.

T^T

Assuming that by nuts, you mean all of the non-believers and if so, one must conclude therefore that your life didn't begin or grow with an innate knowledge of what it right or wrong.

Plus wouldn't your statement if followed up, be just like the Muslim who too, would...kill all of those non-believers ? (nuts)

They have proven to be hostile.

You may remember I always took the Muslim side. I believe they got fucked over by our oil companies and the Jews. But the more I learn about them the more I am convinced that I do not want to coexist with them on this planet.

And you got me wrong here, KILL THE BELIEVERS, not the non-believers.

And i doubt that you'll find a Christian website that declares obedience to Jesus is MUST for ALL.

Obedience to Jesus is not even such a bad thing. What could go wrong following Jesus? He never killed anybody. He was never physically violent towards others. He preached turn the other cheek.

So IF ONLY Christianity has this Obedience to Jesus thingy, imagine how much more peaceful this whole world is gonna be. But Christianity is about Free Will, although Free Will still means, Believe or Go to Hell. But Hey! That's After Life!

But Obedience to Muhammad, a war lord who have murdered by example. That's why we have ISIS.

Obedience to a Jesus? A Jewish Socialist...

The difference being: the "penalty" for a "Christian" is denial of paradise, after they die.

The "penalty" for a Muslim that doesn't follow the prophet is death ... then, denial of paradise, after they die.

It's that "middle step" that's a bitch.

Michael

The reason I phrased it the way I did is because there is some variation among Christians in what that penalty will be but you are correct it is not a Christian's duty to send others to the "final judgement" like some Muslim's seem to think is their duty.

no, of course all young christian men are like Josh Duggar.....oh wait, you mean he isnt representative of christian manhood?
no shit.

Mankind being what it is there is no large group of people that does not have a small group of people that are not representative of the group they belong to but it seems that Muslims have large groups of people that are "not representative" of Muslims.

In fact large enough groups that they seem to become representative of what Muslims are and the fact that those groups are not publicly denounced loudly by other Muslims seems to give them added credibility.

Well as for atheists, I wouldn't know but it would not be in the interest of a thief to find a policeman because in a practical sense, he's not...looking for one.

As over the many 100's of thousands of years, man has still...not found a god.
Well to be strictly honest, it would seem only some men (atheists) have not found God.

should be easy to reproduce that very first "chemical reaction" (the one where "life" came from "non life") in a laboratory then right?
Even then wouldn't you need some sort of "intelligent consciousness" to set up the laboratory to reproduce that very first "chemical reaction".

Interesting post, everybody to their own but I would like to point out that Jesus was not talking about violence but about being insulted and shooting someone for insulting you seems a bit extreme. ;-)

Serious Question:

I understand the whole "turn the other cheek" thing. Jesus also said: "He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword"

Forgetting the fact that Peter didn't die by a sword, do you think Jesus would have been behind rioting and burning buildings in order to keep other, opposing viewpoints from just being heard?

We know Jesus had a bit of a temper. He proved that in the temple with the bankers (money-changers). Do you suppose there might have been some things for which Jesus would have fought?

Not at all, mold grows on bread without intelligence managing it. As I pointed out life has been created in the lab from chemicals. With massively uncountable atomic reactions in the universe (same as chemical) you will find that life is on some planets where the environment is ripe for it, life, and on planets inhospitable, nothing. Permutation game, someone always wins the lottery. Often the winner tells of their deep and abiding (new found) faith, while everyone else in the world correctly says "you lucky bastard."

There is no essential problem here, a generalization, a lie, a projection, a felchgobble, and a imbecility, wrapped up in an illegitimate appeal to magic.

Which reminds us of the ancient ontological question: who created the Creator?

Aside from that unintended consequence of your remark . . yes, if a laboratory were to be set up intelligent consciousness would be required. Hopefully, it is not a shock to you to learn there is intelligent consciousness present on this planet. What does its presence prove?

Darwinian evolution??

Well actually, no. Biological evolution presupposes biology. The origins of life are something we haven't nailed down yet.

K.

Life begins with a chemical reaction.

Should it ?

You mean the ones that don't believe in Zeus or some other mythical god ? Atheist or anti-theist, have no problems with chemical reactions or intelligent conscientiousness.

Some people feel a need for a god and obviously millions believe that so passionately...they will imagine one.
