That's the whole thing. They will now have to debate the issue themselves since we are no longer willing to continue being the patsy for all of central and South American woes, and the woes caused by Muslims in the Middle East

PFH, I think the assumption was to be that he was IN the US military for those 8 years. It's like the Billy Joel song, Piano Man, with the lyric, "when I wore a younger man's clothes."

Having spent 8 years in the US military just might give someone a better idea about the defense of the US than someone who has not spent time in the US military.
