I drive and have always driven the latest deal I can find.  Some of my cars have been throw aways, once they needed repair off to the wreckers they went.

My car is not an extension of me, I know who I am and have never felt the need to show what I had by driving the biggest newest flashiest vehicle.

That is not to say if I suddenly came into some extreeme amount of money I would still drive my junkers

Presently I drive a van of some type, flat tremclad walmart black.  Master did the body work on it and we decided to do its paint job for 47$ rather than a few thousand.  Especially since we bought the van 3 years ago for $1000.  We will keep it running till she dies then move onto the next deal.

Master has 2 vehicles, a really old small car that will run forever, doesnt need emission testing anymore and goes a gazillion miles on a liter of gas, he also have a chevy van which is his toy, we use it for trips etc and only in the summer.

Spank, nice to have a brandnew car, isn't it?
You know why men like women in leather?
Because they smell like the inside of a brandnew car!

Popeye it is something I still can not get used too, The last few nights i have looked out the window and just smiled thinking wow this is mine. I had to grab a few groceries today I didnt look for a spot up front i parked in bum-fuck Ohio cause I didnt want a cart hitting it...........I know eventually all those feel good feelings will pass but right now I have this amazing high going on. I look at my husband and how he is smiling............he walks by it and he looks like a little kid in a candy store.........we got married young...basically everything we own were other peoples hand me downs............our cars were always used and we drove them till they died..........the reason for this purchase was our vehicle we had was costing us a fortune, every month something else went on it.........so we decided to apply for our very first car loan and we were approved............so who knows maybe in a few years our next big purchase will be our first home...its a start after years of messed up credit, years of fixing it....I know i am rambling on and on and all you did was ask a simple question lol

I drive an '86 Ford Crown Vic less than 5 miles each way to work.
Otherwise I drive a '94 Merc GM (w/ all the extras - not that they work anymore ) if I have to drive out of the county or further.  It has over 200K mi on it, but it still runs ... OK

<<<who can afford a vehicle these days?>>>

Actually the gas prices are more of the problem....
(for me anyways, hehe)

<<<and the door is held closed by duct tape>>>

I thought I had the only car held together w/ duct tape, lol!
(the right front turn light signal piece is held to the car front by duct tape)

<<<<You know why men like women in leather?

I LOVE that popeye!
I even have something similar to that in my profile.

LeMis, I couldn't find your profile!
Yeah, I thought that was kind of funny, I got it off a Birthday Card for my brother.
Spank, don't worry about "rambling." It's nice getting a brandnew car isn't it?
If you want a house look on Realtor.com in Myrtle Beach,SC.
The houses here are 1/3 the prices of houses up North!
If you're a Nurse, Accountant or that type of job you'll do allright here.

Ooops sorry about that popeye...

here's what it says:

<<Leather...................................................................... when a woman wears leather clothing, a man's heart beats quicker, his throat gets dry, he goes weak at the knees, and he begins to think irrationally.
Ever wonder why?

Hehe, I call mine the "boat", both of them, lol.
Friends tease me about my "boats", I don't want a "boat", next vehicle will get a bazillion mpg (OK, I'll settle for anything over 30 mpg, lol).
