I was just thinking something similar---that the "division" is created by the people disrespecting the symbol of our unity. so the nfl owners statements are pretty ironic.

Well, it's instructive to see that some people don't think that repeated police shootings of unarmed people is divisive, but kneeling in memorium to their unnecessary deaths is 'divisive.'

What leftists don't get, is that not everyone hates the police or buys into the lies spread my Marxists and their Black Lies Madder useful idiots / terrorists about the police

Are there bad cops? Yes. But there is bad everything in an imperfect world

Leftists USING propaganda about certain unfortunate incidents to divide the American people is what is correctly being viewed as the real divisiveness by thinking people

The media has destroyed any remaining credibility the way it went after the president. The mask has come off, no one who uses their mind buys their lies any longer

We see right through the shitstorm leftists continue to try to create, and president Trump is the figurehead for thinking people in the fight against the insanity

education of the comrades aside---

as if respecting the flag and the national anthem was somehow tacit approval of police brutality?

or that there aren't better (less divisive AND more affective) ways to address one's concerns?

Edwird -> RE: NFL owners, CEOs respond to Trump comments (9/24/2017 6:26:23 AM)

Well of course, history shows that every social and societal wrong has been stopped cold in its tracks by somebody politely asking "please don't do that."

Here Are Some Ways People Disrespect The Flag Daily Based On Flag Code
Taking a knee is not one of them.

Tell that to Kaepernick, idiot hag

worth posting again:

"NFL Player on 'Why He Stands'"

quote:

Cincinnati Bengal Tyler Eifert respectfully disagrees with former San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the playing of the national anthem. In a thoughtful piece for Medium, the Bengals’s tight end begins by noting he jumped into this debate against his better judgment.

Then, he offered a simple, yet profound explanation for why he honors the anthem.

“I stand because I love my country.”

Eifert has other reasons, one being that some of his family members have proudly served in our armed forces.

As I stand for the national anthem, I don’t want there to be questions of why I am standing or if I will kneel. I want there to be a clear understanding of why I stand. I want there to be a clear understanding of why I respect our flag and why I love our country.

It's "sad" to see how divided we are even over a common practice of standing for the flag, he writes.

Kaepernick started kneeling last summer when he told the press he can’t respect the flag while law enforcement were supposedly targeting minorities. Several fellow players joined his protest.

In a moving gesture, Eifert explains that he will be honoring a military person by writing their name on his cleats for every game this season.

A bit more respectful than Kaepernick’s police pig socks don’t you think?

Eifert is also asking for support for the the K9s For Warriors charity to raise awareness about post traumatic stress disorder.

If more players behaved like Eifert, perhaps the NFL's ratings would fare better.

It's all about disrespecting the flag, the police, the military, the country...

And that the NFL is standing with them will translate into extremely bad luck for NFL stadium attendance and television ratings

bounty44 -> RE: NFL owners, CEOs respond to Trump comments (9/24/2017 7:07:22 AM)

I don't disagree it will hurt both attendance and ratings, but ultimately, I suspect it'll either be dealt with, or blow over before any fatal damage is done.

There's the point. You call police shootings of unarmed blacks unfortunate incidents while black athletes are protesting unwarranted assaults.

If you wish to depoliticize this issue, take down the flag, stop playing the national anthem, and stop flying jets in formation over the stadium.

Before the rise of you hated and despised fringe leftists and your communist takeover of the Democrat party, things like displaying the flag and military flyovers were never considered to be political

[8|]
It isn't a symbol of unity if people don't agree that it is a symbol of unity.
And when it represents a nation that is capable of giving the world Donald Trump, the meaning definitely changes.

WhoreMods -> RE: NFL owners, CEOs respond to Trump comments (9/24/2017 8:07:20 AM)

Just out of interest, are all violent incidents at "football" matches since this storm in a teacup was brewed up being spun as antifa riots now?

No, the problem is that patriotism was co-opted by out of touch morons like you and this guy:
