You've been around a while, so you've seen how social media has made it easier to talk about things, and give everyone a much larger platform than they've ever had. She has told people through the years, but now she has the power to tell the world, without being filtered or censored. Now she has other victims to stand with. She wasn't the first of Weinstein's victims, nor the last. But she's been the loudest.

I do believe that by McGowan and others sharing their truths, it has inspired many around the world to speak out about their own. So maybe they don't have to be heros, they can just be not victimized any more.

I don't necessarily dispute much of this. What I have an issue with is that the authorities could have been told, too. Would the police have failed to take her report? I think not. She might have had trouble actually proving a case, but the accusation would have been out there.

and I believe that they have inspired many and kudos to them, but again, it would have been nice if all these "open secrets" had been exposed (possibly by a group of actors and actresses?) long before now. In some cases, people decided to take money and shut up.

So what was more important at the moment they signed those NDAs? Their career/money or protecting others?

I would suggest that "Alfred" is a much more widely-known reference (to those of us of a certain age) than your un-known (to me) "Blanche" reference.

On top of that, I haven't used the "Alfred" appellation for couple of days (actually, SEVEN, excepting this post), now, but it was rather "witty". I'll have to cogitate upon this.

So implying that someone aided and abetted in the crime carried out against them, by settling for the only real recourse left her after being denied others, isn't victim bashing?

I'd need to see evidence of the police (or some lawyers) denying people a voice and therefore having "other recourse" denied them.

I'll ask again: Do you REALLY believe that one of these people walked into a police station (even in Hollywood) saying: "I've been raped/molested/sexually harassed" or anything like that, only to be told: "Yeah, we're not going to move on this" or "The higher ups don't think it's a good idea"?

Seriously? If that's the case, string up the cops (and Bill Shakespeare's idea of hanging all lawyers doesn't seem like a bad idea.).

So, again: You "got" nothing, but you're "gotcha" attempt, while taking my words out of context, yet again, was a valiant (if feeble) effort.

What Ever Happened To Baby Jane was released in October, 1962. Maybe a few years before you were born, but it's an iconic film featuring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Have you simply ignored pop culture all this time?

Then, without engaging in hyperbole and as I've already, pretty much, stated: The cops/prosecutors need to be held accountable. No doubt,. People should lose jobs over this.

I've mentioned the audio a couple of times and I said that I wasn't convinced Weinstain was in the same time zone as contrite, but I'll go further:

Weinstain should be facing a plethora of charges and any authority that didn't recognize that is either criminally derelict or negligent (possibly BOTH).

But, go on with your bad self.

It wasn't relevant. I've "demanded" nothing; just refused to suck at the teat of political correctness and an over-use of the word "hero".

As an example: Where did I call for charges against the people who remained silent? Nowhere. Not one time. I have said (and I will repeat): "It's a shame they didn't come forward sooner".

To your other point: were any of the "lawyers" that were consulted criminal lawyers (prosecutors or defense attorneys)? I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that other than the NYPD's refusal to go forward and I've already excoriated them for that.
