Trumps urging for the terrorist to be sent to gitmo, backfired and made sure he(terrorist) wont go to gitmo.
Trumps urging for the death penalty ensures he(the terrorist) will not get the death penalty.
The charlottesville killer (by running people down), wasnt given the same tweet opinions.
Again, the tweeter is making the issue worse, but he can always blame sessions.
For now.

It backfired? How so? He can't be sent to GITMO, even if Trump didn't tweet something stupid.

How would Trump urging for the death penalty ensure the murderer won't get the death penalty?

I see you're attempting to paint Trump as a white supremacist/racist, but that argument is a fail. You're better than that, Lucy.

Yes, Trump is making things worse with his use of Twitter. Someone needs to delete his account and ban him from it until he's out of office.

The lack of any real time scale in vague drivellings about "down the road a bit" is my point. It means nothing and it's an excuse for doing nothing.

What is the time frame for which emotions will die down and rational discussions can start? Please define it.

In NYC, looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person. Law enforcement is following this closely. NOT IN THE U.S.A.!
5:30 PM - 31 Oct 2017
We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough!
6:31 PM - 31 Oct 2017
My thoughts, condolences and prayers to the victims and families of the New York City terrorist attack. God and your country are with you!
6:57 PM - 31 Oct 2017
I have just ordered Homeland Security to step up our already Extreme Vetting Program. Being politically correct is fine, but not for this!
9:26 PM - 31 Oct 2017
following day

The terrorist came into our country through what is called the "Diversity Visa Lottery Program," a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based.
7:24 AM - 1 Nov 2017
The United States will be immediately implementing much tougher Extreme Vetting Procedures. The safety of our citizens comes first!
10:19 PM - 1 Nov 2017
NYC terrorist was happy as he asked to hang ISIS flag in his hospital room. He killed 8 people, badly injured 12. SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY!

Texas terror.
May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan.

...Americans do what we do best: we pull together. We join hands. We lock arms and through the tears and the sadness, we stand strong...

he did make a statement yesterday as well
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of today’s murderous attack in Sutherland Springs, Texas. This horrible act of evil occurred as the victims and their families were in their place of sacred worship. We cannot put into words the pain and grief we all feel, and we cannot begin to imagine the suffering of those who lost the ones they loved. Our hearts are broken.

But in dark times such as these, Americans do what we do best: we pull together. We join hands. We lock arms. And through the tears and the sadness, we stand strong.

My Administration is providing its full support to the state and local authorities investigating this horrible crime. I have spoken with Governor Abbott, and we offer our thanks to the first responders who ultimately stopped the suspect and rendered immediate and lifesaving aid to the victims of this shooting. I will continue to follow developments closely.

All of America is praying to God to help the wounded and the families — we will never leave their side.

Here is this mornings statement
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/06/trump-says-texas-church-shooting-result-mental-health-problem-calls-gunman-deranged.html
from fox....“This isn’t a guns situation,” Trump said. “This is a mental health problem at the highest level. It’s a very, very sad event.”

Nobody will take his phone, nobody is going to stop him.
Please dont expect ANYONE take his immaturity and not bitch about it.
not after the last 17 years.

If you dont see the difference...I cant help you, it doesnt mean that he isnt worth people being very angry about(hate) his inability to perform like a rational human being.

Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks for People With Mental Illnesses
by ALI VITALI
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-signs-bill-revoking-obama-era-gun-checks-people-mental-n727221

President Donald Trump quietly signed a bill into law Tuesday rolling back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illnesses to purchase a gun.

The rule, which was finalized in December, added people receiving Social Security checks for mental illnesses and people deemed unfit to handle their own financial affairs to the national background check database.

Had the rule fully taken effect, the Obama administration predicted it would have added about 75,000 names to that database.

President Barack Obama recommended the now-nullified regulation in a 2013 memo following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which left 20 first graders and six others dead. The measure sought to block some people with severe mental health problems from buying guns.

The original rule was hotly contested by gun rights advocates who said it infringed on Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Gun control advocates, however, praised the rule for curbing the availability of firearms to those who may not use them with the right intentions.

Both the House and Senate last week passed the new bill, H.J. Res 40, revoking the Obama-era regulation.

Trump signed the bill into law without a photo op or fanfare. The president welcomed cameras into the oval office Tuesday for the signing of other executive orders and bills. News that the president signed the bill was tucked at the bottom of a White House email alerting press to other legislation signed by the president.

The National Rifle Association “applauded” Trump’s action. Chris Cox, NRA-ILA executive director, said the move “marks a new era for law-abiding gun owners, as we now have a president who respects and supports our arms.”

Everytown For Gun Safety President John Feinblatt said he expected more gun control rollbacks from the Trump administration. In a statement to NBC News, he called the action "just the first item on the gun lobby’s wish list" and accused the National Rifle Association of "pushing more guns, for more people, in more places."

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., a leading gun control advocate in Congress, called out Republicans over the move.

"Republicans always say we don’t need new gun laws, we just need to enforce the laws already on the books. But the bill signed into law today undermines enforcement of existing laws that Congress passed to make sure the background check system had complete information," he said in an emailed statement.

He may get the death penalty but Mr Trump's urging for it will insure that an army of sleazeb..............errrrrr I mean lawyers will be lining up to claim the jury pool was tainted by no less than the POTUS and they'll drag out the appeals forever.
That means the perp will live at our expense for decades.

no I wasnt attacking him for that statement you fuckhead I was stating it, as fact. As part of the topic.

I notice it flew over your head that I was stating the differences between his reaction to the NY attack and the TX attack. But its not just the most recent reactions to attacks in the US.
We could go back to the Vegas attack, and the NY attack, we could also use his bogus claim that islam was responsible for the philippine attack, and also his lack of interest in the charlottesville murder of heather heyer, except to say there were good people on both sides.
There are far to many of them, but you just want to focus on me,
bless your heart.

Um, perhaps because he's kinda a moron? No other President of person in position of power would say it (okay, maybe Kim Jong Un, but, I did leave out the "sane" modifier, so....).

Hate is such a strong word. Don't let your emotions crowd your vision. The US will survive Trump. All your friends (and family, if you have any here) will survive Trump being President. We (the American voters) will do better next time.

The whole idea of jury selection should help prevent that.
