heather, I LOVED raising chickens and tried it again recently...along with rabbits, till a darn dog got in! Anyway...I love to watch them. Next time I try, I'm going to have a big caged area instead of opening the coop and letting them run all over. Sure, they eat bugs, but their darn feet are regular earth movers!!! ...and they eat plants, too! LOL I wanted to ask...you do know you don't HAVE to keep a rooster to get them to lay, doncha? I went with www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/ and bought chicks thought to be female. Ya always get a few males anyway... and I just put 'em in the freezer about the time they got old enough to start crowing. bearlee

Bearlee - Thanks for the info and the link. Yes, I have an understanding of the biology involved in laying. Basically, we went for the potluck batch of twenty five instead of paying for them to be sexed at birth. We couldnt order fewer than twenty five, even though that's twice what we wanted, so we figured if at least half of them were girls, we'd be ok. We ended up pretty much half and half and are knocking off or giving away the males until we have one really bad mama jama rooster. Daddy thinks it's a good idea to have an aggressive male around, especially since we have barn cats. We kept ours in a pen that is attached to the henhouse for some time. Now they roam free and roost in a big evergreen tree outside the barn. The chicken yard was totally overgrown with weeds when we first let them in there and in very short order they turned it into a mud yard :-) so it's actually more tidy for us to keep them out of the chicken yard most of the time.

Where that gets me is inside my mind, i am still conditioned to feel like a 7 or so, respond to guys in the 7 and upwards range, and forget my "league reality" has changed and will remin so unless i take some proactive measures. So i'm not really being shallow in my shallowness, i am just working off an old paradigm.. <grins>

sigh If only the "beautiful" people fell in love then everyone would be beautiful. But wait!! Everyone IS beautiful and perfect and it's only negative thoughts that flaw our beauty. Am i odd?? i respond to every email regardless of looks and frankly am probably more receptive to the "average-looking" guy than the hunky ones because i figure the average guy had to develop a character that the hunky one didn't feel necessary to develop. i greatly admire the OP for having so few worries and problems in His life that this whole subject should take the amount of time and effort He invested. Please don't consider this statement a flame, but please, Sir consider Yourself greatly blessed if this is the most pressing problem in Your life.

(hehehe...i like that term) Logic and common sense try to remind me of it though. grin, but only when i let them! LOL! Usually i am in "ah...fuck it" mode! LOL! i do tend to attract younger guys though, and i think it is because of my youthful nature, this is what i am told most often, for there are those younger than i who act 20 years my senior. i hope you can get to the place within yourself to where you can experience a paradigm shift, and "work up" a new paradigm! grin You know it will be an auto-booster shot for sure! smile

Long point made short, pretty girls may get fucked more but I don't think they fair any better in the long term goal of finding a life partner.The same goes for men. Being good looking isn't going to help them that much in finding a good partner in the long run. Most women will choose a plain looking nice guy over a gorgeous asshole. I recently recieved a rather rude email asking me if my weight had hindered my ability to find a good dominant...Ironically, I've found the opposite to be true. When I was a teenager, I was a size 3, 5ft3, 120lbs, 36C bra size, long blonde hair, etc and the only men who ever asked me out where shallow losers who were only out to get laid. Now that I'm a size 14, 185lbs, I find that I attract the sweetest,most genuine men who honestly care about forming relationships. I feel blessed to be able to interact with these great men. From a Lifestyle perspective, I've found that the shallow wanna-be types leave me alone and I only attract the older, more serious dominant gentleman :) I consider my lack of physical beauty a blessing in disguise.

And i decide whether to answer or not answer messages based on the message. i hardly ever check someone's profile or photos first. Intelligence is sexy. Wit is sexy. Being physically gorgeous? Has nothing to do with what i am looking for. Let the superficial people go after the hunks - leaves more kind, wonderful, average-looking Doms for me:)

Egads, I seldom take offense to much I read on here. But, who gets to decide who is handsome or pretty, and who is ugly? Who gets to decide who someone else will be willing to be seen with? All too often in my life the "handsome" package has come with a lot of excess baggage in terms of their personality. Give me an average looking guy, or even someone who is less than average looking who has a decent personality and a sense of humor. Average Joe tends to be a lot better at forming relationships because he hasn't had women falling all over him because of how he looks. At age 70 the pretty boy isn't pretty anymore and a good conversation, good personality, and sense of humor will stay as fresh and appealing as it ever was.

Hey! I sure ain't much to look at when it comes to pretty (ie, BIG, INTIMIDATING, older, HEAVY). But, I have more female friends than anyone I know. I don't get laid much, but I ain't complaining. Those poor fellas that gotta worry about finding the "perfect Barbie" must be awful lonely most of the time.

I find much of what is being said on here to be indicative of this environment. For if the consensus were truly representative of the dating scene, there would be very little market for CollarMe and other sites of this nature. While I am not fond of the verbiage the OP opted to use to convey his message. People are going to like what they wish and for most that does include updating. While some are willing to admit this aloud, others will hide behind colorful language. Whether it be the physique, education, career, social class, or monetary earnings, most carry some element of bias. porcelaine

Tell you what. I'm not even going to read 5 pages of this. I just want my post count to go up by one. No harm in that, yeah? My immediate reaction is two fold. The first, by the title of the thread. If I'm fat, old, and ugly (all subjective items, mind you), goes that qualify me for a hat trick, or triple crown, or somesuch?
