ORIGINAL: Najakcharmer There's a couple things in a profile that invariably catch and hold my attention. Specifically: sci-fi/fantasy gaming geek or actively involved in some aspect of fandom (eg, goes to DragonCon, looks good in Ren Faire/SCA wear, is a filker, etc), or otherwise sharing some of my real life non kinky interests. As for looks, I like long hair and am a serious fetishist for medieval/fantasy/SCA/Ren Faire clothes. If a guy looks good in that kind of gear (and larger guys certainly can), I will find him attractive. I do require a degree of committment to fitness and health in order to spend time with a person, though the results don't need to be instant. I don't mind a partner who is overweight, but I would have a very hard time being with someone who smoked heavily, drank a lot of alcohol and/or ate unhealthy junk food. I try to stay committed to my own physical, mental and emotional health and it's difficult to stay healthy if your partner eats a juicy Big Mac and crispy fries in front of you while you have to stick to a grilled chicken salad. So for the sake of my own health, I don't want to eat with someone who makes unhealthy food choices. It's just too painful to watch (and smell) at close range when I can't have any. I will go and take my meals somewhere else rather than be subjected to temptation that is not good for me. That would certainly be awkward if I was spending a lot of time with someone, so one of my criteria for a partner has to be a real interest in eating healthy. Bravo! (By the way, nice to see another fantasy/gamer type person!) Personally a person's eating choices are far more important to me than how thin they are. I eat so much healthier than my skinnier friends that it's sickening! I'd just soon hang around someone who is heavy but tries hard, as opposed to some of my skinny "I eat whatever I want and stay thin" type friends. Something that really gets my goat is when a person comes on here raging about how "unhealthy" it is to be heavy, while they find no problem dating a smoker or drinker. Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? I know I'm a heck of a lot healthier than some of my skinny friends who smoke and drink, so as long as I'm making an effort to eat right and exercise I'm not going to stress over being a bit heavy.
