It amazes me how submissives and even others will jump on anyone who says anything against BBWs as shallow assholes and yet... Those very same women do not bother emailing anyone who isn't thin and handsome with a picture. So not only are some (because of course the 800 women who respond to this are ALL exceptions) just as shallow as male doms, they are also hypocrites as well. I did a test of a couple of profiles, I even used the same wording just different pictures, one showing a "handsome" guy, one showing an "ugly " guy and another blank. I only got responses from the "handsome" picture. Almost all were women that the ugly guy might have considered being seen with. Now love and lust come in strange packages, I will admit that and heck, I have known large women I have lusted after for what was inside them. That said, for them to NOT respond to the words, the SAME words, not until they were tied to a handsome face is hypocritical and far more shallow than men who at least have the integrity to admit looks matter. So, lets see where this thread goes other than a flame fest against me for pointing out the fat elephant in the corner.

dear Sir - i hope that this won't become a flame fest - energy that could be put into so much other, better things. [;)] i, myself, am an SSBBW - 6'1", 460 pounds. i do consider myself rather pretty as does my Daddy. that being said, i do agree with Your assessment overall. even in a non-D/s situation, i've noticed that many BBWs tend to act this way. i attend local BBW dances and many of the BBWs often shun, ridicule, etc. the men who come to these dances to admire them because they aren't handsome enough, rich enough, etc, etc. i find it rather frustrating and also, enfuriating, to see this behavior. do they not remember what it's like to go out to a non-BBW friendly environment and see how they are treated? i, personally, make it a point to treat everyone with respect and care - which is how i would like to be treated - whether or not Y/you may find me attractive or find me repulsive. anyway, short version is that i think no matter the size, age, shape, etc - there will always be people out there who are shallow and think themselves better than others or more deserving. just my humble .02 best regards, humbly, heather Daddy B's little One

I don't get up in arms when someone expresses a preference in personal appearance. I get up in arms when that preference is expressed in such a way that it denegrates all the people in a given apperance type or the individuals that prefer them. "I prefer petite, thin women" vs "Fat women are so gross!"

Lucky, You are normally right on the money but you missed it with this one. You have no idea who I am and in fact we have had conversations. This is far from my first post as well, I created this ID just for this thread, to protect the guilty (me) as well as the innocent. porcelaine, As for rejection, it wasn't rejection sort of by definition, I did get lots of responses, they just were not from women I would have any interest in other than as friends and I have enough of those. As for making the results public, why would I desire to hurt the feelings of the specific women I was speaking of?

There have been many, many psychological studies of this sort of thing - and really I guess it shows the inadequacy of cyberspace in terms of the dating game. The test that anon did is very similar to what psychologists do, and the results are equally similar; we form an instant opinion of another person based on what they look like, determining their likely character and behaviour from that and then deciding whether or not they are the type of person with whom we want interaction, whether they are criminal or not, whether they have professional jobs or not etc. I used to use my picture on my profile all the time, but I removed it because it tended to promote inaccurate ideas about me, and equally unrealistic expectations. Since removing it, I now only get relevant messages rather than the dozens of inappropriate ones I had before. People now have to read my profile and learn what I am about, rather than form an idea about me from a picture - I tend to think that people only look at the picture if there is one! And no, I'm not that unpleasant to look at! (so I'm told at least). E

well i think you are making sweeping generalizations. Do all women base attraction on looks? No..but do some? yes, of course. In your little experiment you didn't say whether you sent the exact same words but with different pictures to the exact same peope. Now being that all women are different, it could be that the select number of people you sent mail to, just happened to be women who find that looks matter as a form of attraction. I will be the first to admit that i do have to be physically attracted to my partner. But what i find phsyicallya attractive might not be the same as the next person. Being handsome is relative. Its all in perception. One thing i think is important for you to remember is that most women on here generally get a great deal of mail. Something has to catch our attention. Before i had found my Domimant i didn't even read half the mail i would get on here, unless something caught my attention. I wonder why this bothers you so much to write a thread about this. Is it because you are having problems finding someone? As i remember in my younger days cough cough looks mattered a great deal more in my 20's then they do now. In my 20's yes i was more attracted to the classicaly handsome man. As i have grown and matured i have grown to realize that its more whats inside a person that counts. So maybe the problem is you are going after the wrong types of women. Its always easier for us to look and blame the people around us. Do you ever feel that at times youa re being set up into a dammed if you do and dammed if you don't situation? People have prefereences and I respect that. I can handle chubby.. but morbid obesity is just not my thing, especilly if you are going to be naked before me. The good news is that there IS somebody for everybody. I admire fit people.. I wish I could exercise like I used to. It takes a hell of a lot of work to maintain a body.

Anondom, If your advertisement/mail was not interesting , boring or just excentered from the subject, that's your fault not the " BBW, blondes, blacks, martian or whatever" Your point was badly expressed and that could be the only reason you get flamed. Personally, I do see your point. The thing is though, just because someone is overweight, does not mean they also have things they aren't attracted to looks wise also. Does that make them bad, or underserving of those things? No, it doesn't. I am a BBW.. or overweight, or fat.. whatever...yet, I do find certain qualities attractive, be they physical, or not. I have as much right to those feelings and preferences as anyone else. That is why I don't get upset, or judge others for not liking the way I look. I could just as easily not like them for the same thing. We can't help what we find attractive, and there is someone, somewhere that finds you attractive even if others don't. I just figure it makes things easier, being upfront and honest, if the attraction isn't there, it's not. I very much care what a person has inside, but that doesn't mean that even at my weight, I wouldn't like a handsome man as a partner. My idea of handsome, might not be someone elses..just as someones idea of beautiful might not be me. Andrea

i am a fat submissive lol and i know im not everyones cup of tea, lol and even though im fat i dont fancy fat men shock horror!! i only email people with profile pictures so shallow i know truth is i dont even fancy men lol now a sexy bbw does it for me every time, but i can see some men are attractive some are just blokes and there are some i find unattractive. everybody has standards everybody had types not everyone is beautiful(on outside) so im sat here thinkign whats the point of the thread? some bloke hasnt pulled? society is shallow? gods know half the blokes i email wouldnt look twice at me even if drunk, if i had a problem with it i would lose weight so there we go the worllds shallow and if it wasnt we would all look like mingers cuz noone would bother to look nice so says the fat elephant in the corner lol[sm=tongue.gif]

Well at least there's the irony that someone so proud of pointing out elephants needs to hide behind a new name- and that someone who's been around awhile still thinks it's a good idea to make this sort of post.
