I found your comments on the breast thread quite telling. I also found those same comments indicative of a mind full of delusions and misconceptions about reality.

I like the way every conversation ends up being about illegal immigration.

The main thing is to sit back, relax and think of new ways to collaborate with our oppressors. Proposed discussion topic: How to turn a buck off the war miseries of others?

Gee, now I feel like the nobleman described in De Sade's "Juliette."

I don't put a limit on politics or religion.  I'll discuss them, debate them (preferably in Lincoln-Douglas style, I like ideas rather than competing links), flat out argue about them or even get down to serious mudslinging.  Just don't bring it to the dining room table.

People who can't let go of it are a limit though.  If someone cannot be friends with another person who votes differently, or places a higher priority on different values, I'm not sure I want to be friends with them even if we agree on all of the above.  That path leads to intolerance and hatred.

For me, it is a "limit".  I consider the manner in which my country is run to be pretty important and I have strong views on the subject.  Why would I want to choose to be in an intimate personal relationship with someone I don't get along with?

In addition, under a M/s dynamic, as an athiest, I would not want to get dragged along to church, and as a liberal, I would not want to be trapped watching Faux News all night.  So I choose those I associate with on that level carefully and accordingly.

It is amazing to me the amount of people who are totally absorbed with political ideology and who constantly interject politics into otherwise non-political discussions. I see party affiliations slung about, reference to right wing, left wing mentioned, conservatives versus liberals and probably some other defining characteristics I didn’t even pick up on. I can’t help but wonder, who really cares? Is this really that big of a deal to some people? My take on it is that anyone who is so obsessed with politics that it seems their very essence and most of their opinions are derived from it, are a little too surreal. I can’t help thinking that someone probing for a political view or party affiliation, soon after an introduction, would only receive a “see ya” in most instances”. It’s tough enough to find compatible people under the best circumstances; it seems a bit self defeating to bring yet another obstacle into the equation. Anyone else just not give a damned about someone’s politics?

Hello BlkTallFullfig,

You are not actually suggesting that you are attracted to men who can articulate the things which are from their big head?

Tell me you are the only woman who feels this way.

LOL, I know at least one other woman who digs those types of men.  Y'all rock!    My biggest kink is to have you all in a room talking politics/world affairs...

i enjoy reading posts by all four Men, including SirKenin, and think the idea of banning any discussion of political matters in this Forum is preposterous.

Well said Pink...... I enjoy all four of them also. I must admit though, I did for a while find the ''Bush and the fucking republicans are fucking idiots - And the democrats are our saviors '' comments somewhat disturbing. But now I am used to them and I actually find them quite comical.

I'm not a lifestyler {nor want to be} by any stretch of the imagination, so after you've read the boards for as long as I have, typical BDSMer topics become quite redundant and boring.

I come into my office late at night, do a little paperwork, read a few posts, chat with a few people and unwind. Politics, economics, sports, mechanics, art and health issues are things that I'm greatly interested in, and they help me unwind.

The greatest majority of people I know personally, who are either disinterested or actually put off by the subject of politics, feel that way because they believe the enormity of the situation disempowers them. And the first thing people do when they feel disempowered, is withdraw. But I think many here will agree, just hang in there for a while....because knowledge is power

Those are three different people with views that are not identical.

They all state strong opinions, but then so do you, Kenin.

It is almost worth giving up on this forum in one sense because certain key people, such as Northern, Chaingang and CrappyDom have ruined it for everybody.

Oh all right, it's 3 A.M. here, so I'll take a stab at it.

Bush and the fucking Republicans are not fucking idiots.  They're greedy motherfuckers whose primary purpose is to enrich themselves and their cronies.  And they're prepared to violate the law, lie to the American people, and undermine the Constitution in order to get their way.

OK, on to the second part.  The Democrats will not be our saviors until they are prepared to tame the corporations that are ass-raping the human race.  They're nowhere near ready to take that step because they don't think they can be elected without sucking corporate cock.  But until they do, they'll always be the party that has to explain why it's soft on everything from crime and national security to family values and immigration.

I personally have all politics listed in my hard limits because I am sick of people who only want to side one way or another. I personally lean republican, but I've only dated democrats so far and it helps keep me centered if we talk sometimes about politics. I just hate the people who say Bush/Clinton sucks and give all these conspiracy theory reasons for their beliefs. I dont mind talking about politics at all with open minded people, but people who get their news only from Fox/Jon Stewart and refuse to see things from any different perspective are a lot of the reason I think that people are getting so apathetic towards politics.

Tosh. You either have principles or you do not. Politics is not like buying a pair of shoes where you buy depending on which way the wind is blowing.

Naah. I'm on the left and the hottest women are rightwing church going harridans. Get them to drop their defences and they'll scorch paint of the walls.

Scorch paint off the walls? What do you mean? You invite them round for dinner and they turn up with a flame thrower? Do the Dutch not take a bottle of wine for their hosts?

"Hi, come in.......oh nice flame thrower........yeah thought I'd bring it to coax a few WW1 soldiers out of their trenches and burn your walls at the same time......no problem, help yourself".
