Well, you're not a veteran, you don't represent the Armed Forces in any way, and you didn't even write the thing you posted.

So what the FUCK was the point?

And last but no way least - shame on you for trying to pass yourself off as a vet. Does that mean you need your ass kicking?

Never did I claim to be a veteran, had you read any of the thread except the initial post you'd have known that...

if i felt like burning a flag i would....

I inherited my grandfather's flag from his service in World War 2.

It has the wrong number of stars on it, and would be considered illegal and unconstituational to fly today.

If I were to retire it according to constitutional law, I would burn it.

If I burned it based on constitutional law, I would be more than happy to tell people watching me burn it that I strongly object to the things that retard who Dumbfuckistan elected is doing, while I was burning it to honor my grandfather.

I imagine there are people in this country who would try to "kick my ass" if I were to do so.

I see their desire to do kick my ass for burning his flag as an insult to the sacrifices my grandfather made in World War 2.  When you spend 4 years dodging torpedoes while your spouse gets to see you 3 weeks in all that time, and your uncle raises your own children, then you might have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out or on the whole "Im more of a patriot than you are" thread.  Until then, spend some time learning what your founding fathers actually fought and died for and show some decency and respect for the ideals they fought to maintain.

"There are things in life that may or may not be true, but it is important for people to believe in them just the same."  Robert Duvall, Secondhand Lions.

But that is just me, and I could be wrong.

p.s.  I suspect their attempts to "kick my ass" may not go the way they hoped.  As was stated in the movie Roadhouse, "People who go around looking for a fight are usually not much of a problem for people who are ready for them."

p.p.s. I think it might be time to go liberate some spiders so I can feel better about humanity.

So how about not just copying and pasting, but removing the quote which implies you're a veteran?

The only thing worse than implying a lie is defending it with "I didn't outright say it."

Yours,

benji

When LandM asked in his first post on this thread "you're a Veteran?" I imediately responded
"No I'm not nor did I write these rules...
I have relatives that are & several of My friends have sons & daughters that are...
Just seems to Me to be an appropriate tribute to Them All"

In hindsight I will admit that I should have added a disclamer on the initial Post, My Bad So Sue Me!!!

First let Me say you people have supplied Me W/countless hours of entertainment not just in this thread but from the many others I've posted & read from... Many times I post just to get shit started, sometimes to get people thinking & discussions going... Y/you all need to get a life & not take these forums so seriously before you give yourselves heart attacks or strokes...
The original post was said half jokingly & half out of respect for My family that have served as well as My friends family members that are serving now... I may not Like our President nor what our Government does, BUT I do Love My country, I do Love Our Flag, Our Anthem & Our Country's symbols, I'm very Patriotic & if anyone doesn't like it they can "Kiss My Great White Ass"...
FYI the reason I'm not a vet is because when My draft notice came in "71" I'd already done a Reformatory bid & was in jail when I got the notice in the mail from the draft board... They classified Me 4-F, no appeal end of story...
Futhermore this is the last time I'll post to this thread so have at it ...

Just about every male in my family has served and I didn't find that post either joking or respectful.  Making veterans out to be intolerant chauvinists is just as offensive as making civilians out to be sniveling pussies.

Anyway, I asked "What the fuck was the point," and your answer is "Just to get shit started."  Enough said.

I can answer this one.

"The Chinaman is not the issue"

"I was talking about the Dude's rug"

"Its like Lenin said"

"I am the Walrus"

"Shut the fuck up, Donny."

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.
