I have always been the kind of person that looked at the asthetics of everyone, until I met a man who showed me that the real part of a person is who they are inside.

Whoever said lets just make a munch specific to the assholes has my vote.

The person that wants to judge people for what is on the outside I really don't want to be at a Munch with anyway.

At Christmastime or on your birthday, do you really care how the present is wrapped or are you more interested in what is inside?

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.

Sinergy

And thus the need for pros....... many of my clients would typically fall into the "EWWW" category, they're still human, they still have needs and wants to fill.

I have my own particular eeeewwww factors... and I am still human... but please do not post in detail about my flaws...LOL

I am more about the person and not the package.

Popeye, they are called "munches" because people get together and eat.

Heh.  I almost never eat at these things--most restaurants and such don't really serve anything I want.  But I do order some kind of drink and something random from the menu; I like to keep the management and wait staff of these places friendly to leatherfolk.

I think most people go to a Munch to talk, really, but calling it a "Blathering" probably didn't sound as cool.

Not that this directly answers your question, but as I get older, I finding out less is more. I cannot push my body like I used to.

So, cutting back on my physical regime has been my latest move, and it means having to be even more careful with what I eat.

But, back to the question posed: Fitness is its own reward in every sphere of life and during everyone minute of the day. Its totally worth the sacrifices and committment.

So YES YES YES.

If someone didn't brush or floss his or her teeth and they all turned black and half of them fell out, how would we feel?

If someone didn't watch what he or she ate and didn't exercise and got fat, how would we feel?

I do not know ... how would we feel? Personally I have a few obese family members and I love them dearly... and I could not give a damn about anyone else feels about them... my only concern is their health, and if they are healthy that is all that matters to me.

I have a shape! It's round ... I happen to like it ... It's not been a factor in any of my jobs, some very physically demanding and I  see no reason for it to become an issue in my private life. I'll leave it at that.

Okay, so of course as we get older (which I just did last Tuesday), the state of our health is more of a concern.  So, as I sit here fighting off a bout of the shingles that has had me home from work for two and a half weeks now and I see myself putting on weight because I'm not as active as I usually am.  I of course start to worry that once I'm well again, I won't be able to actually have a good scene with anyone until I've gotten back into a somewhat normal workout schedule.

(Contesa <--------------------Climbing the walls since she usually goes to a local BDSM play party almost every Saturday night.  Has missed scening quite a bit now.)

So, I thought it might be interesting to see how many of you out there are into working out and believe it does make for a better scene?  I know there are many who say it makes for better sex for sure.  So what do you say?

Sorry to hear about the shingles.

I workout regularly because I enjoy being in shape and feeling good.  Looking your best for a scene doesn't hurt either, so part of my reasons for staying in shape have to do with looking good naked (or nearly so).

Comment 1:
-Too much adipose tissue can cushion nerves..
Enough said, if you're with a physical sadist.
-Too little can make for all sorts of pressure points on the body...
On the sexual side... Get two bony people together, and you'll see the distinctive thigh and hip bruising.

Comment 2:
People should be in the shape and form they are comfortable with. Bodies should feel natural in my opinion; they are to be lived in. For most of us, that means a certain weight range, a certain diet, certain habits, and so on. For example, when I haven't been participating in some form of rigorous physical activity: I get irritable, sore, and edgy. Obviously, that's not beneficial to a scene; i'd prefer to be focussed on my partner, and not how much i'd like to go for a walk. Or how much i'd like a hot dog for that matter; blood sugar is important, too, as is mood, sleep, etc...

Weight lifting/body building makes me a bad ass Dom. Weight lifting increases testosterone and I use BDSM fantasies to inspire me to push up that last rep on the final set to the point where the weight reaches its summit and I’m ready to shout, ”Me Master, you fuckslut.” Wearing my black nylon, no sleeved muscle shirt while I lift reinforces my self-image that I’m able to handle any sub physically and mentally.

When I work out in gyms, I sense cardio bunnies, doing their aerobic, sexy dance things, wearing those pink things that cover their legs, ogling my biceps and wondering how long I could spank them.

They don’t desire the skinny guy running on the treadmill watching CNN. They want my broad shoulders, bulging biceps and Domly attitude. Yeah, the nice guys are on the treadmill, but the girls see the bad asses lifting, wearing things that are positively BDSM like and grunting things like “fuuuuucccckkkkk” as the weights go up. Sometimes I will shadow box between sets just to enforce the image.

All I have to do when I finish my work-out is walk over, look at one of them, make a loop with my belt that I slip over her head and around her neck and say, “Come with me. I want to teach you about spanking.”

She instantly forgets her husband, kids and the garden committee meeting she was supposed to attend after the gym.

LOL    That is the cutest thing I have read in a long time.  I haven't been to the message boards in a while, but I saw the little excerpt on the home page (off to the right) and had to read it.  I LOVE it.......It MADE my day.

Sinergy your lucky a rap group even played one polka. Like you I was into a lot when I was younger. Time changes everything. People here talk about working out. Unless your a body builder that will stop. You get older and have other things going on and the workouts stop. One day you look down and see the belly and say how the hell did that happen. Im lucky that I have a swimming pool and live in the country. Walking really helps out a lot. You have to be in shape inside as much as outside.

I find letting your teeth go to rot very different than being fat.
I 'm amazed at the amount of people  I see here that can not smile into
the camera.
That's far more disruptive to a scene ( IM humble O) than weight is.
There are some obese people  I would enjoy kissing..but I could never kiss
someone with bad teeth.
Ever.

LOL, yeah, I've noticed those things at the gym too!
Think I'll go down to the beach for a five mile walk in the sand to tighten up the legs and butt.

Like a lot of the social events in our culture, it revolves around food.
If you want to have the coffee-and-nicotine set over to your place for a little kink talk, nobody is stopping you.

justheather, for some people Munches (are) the play parties.
I wouldn't go to Munches where people have alchohol all over the place and see how drunk they can get either.

Hello A/all,

The band was playing for Oktoberfest at Alpine Village.  3 Polka songs.  But I almost lost my dinner (Germans actually eat that stuff regularly?) when the Polka band launched into a version of ABBA's song "Fernando" in German.

I dont really work out constantly to look good.  I work out constantly because it increases the number of things I am able to do.  I am unlikely to stop because I have this stubborn streak.

"Do not go gently into that good night, rage, rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.

Sinergy

Munches are simply an easy way to disguise a bdsm gathering.
It makes it  easier to meet in public. In a safe enviroment.(no one getting mauled by a brownie)
I mean we could get together and have a toy party in the park..but you know SOMEONE would call the morality police.
Why did this thread take such an anti fat direction?
An earlier poster mentioned that being underweight isnt a sign of stamina either..

I was at a Munch one time and there was this guy there who was so obese that the fat from his lower abdomen (not his stomach) was hanging between his legs when he sat down which was most of the time.
Triple "EWWWWWWWWWWW"
That's why I don't like going to "Munches", too many obese people at them. And sooooooooo much food!
I'd like to go to a get together that doesn't revolve around food.
Like just have dinner before you go or something then drinks only or something like that.
Hey, how about Munches for non-obese people only?
We're in the minority these days anyway.
Walking and bicycling is great excercise!
Nothing like a 5 mile walk along the beach!
Staying in shape makes everything better!

There's nothing stopping you from starting a "non-obese" munch.

Hopefully you've quit smoking in addition to your exercise regimen. (that is a cigarette in your pic, is it not?)
