W/we were not worried about being 'outed' as W/we do not feel there is anything for us to hide; there is no shame here. However, CrappyDom sent me a message after posting this that was extremely rude concerning this thread and was hoping that your reactions would, somehow, cause an uproar. Really, W/we are done with the matter and have stated our opinions. Again, Thank Y/you all for joining in the discussion, i simply wish it had happened under better circumstances.

So basically YOU are the ones who took a private matter and pushed it into a public flaming?

All Crappy's done is start a thread about something in the scene in general and made a mockery of it.

His rules are they not? Rules or guidelines - which is it to be? ;-)

machinegunBANG -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 12:23:55 PM)

He took his harassment that he was carrying out in a private format (through messages) and brought it into a public format, then continued to harrass me in a private format in order to try to get me to respond in the public format-- he himself said that he wished for me to recieve critism from you and i explained that i was not asking for or looking for critism, so he sought it out himself disrespecting what i had said.

it is he that is flaming. he brought a private matter to a public forum when it was none of his business to begin with and was told as much in order to 'mock' me under the guise of being a gentleman by not including my name.

Such a gentleman.

ok, someone needs a reality check...
1- crappydom, after harrassing and stalking my slave through mail you now go and post our rules in a public forum so that you can further harass us? this is pathetic- you were told to leave us alone and that we didn't want your advice or the opinion of the boards on our lifestyle choices. you ignored that and choose to start a flaming thread. very sad.

2- everyone in this community and lifestyle has different ideas and levels that they want to explore. these are MY rules devised from a variety of research, some are taken from a website and some are my own devision and all are agreed with my slave. for you to deride and mock my personal rules shows how childish you are and how little respect you have for the lifestyle and others in this community. if you don't like them, then fine- i don't expect you to follow MY rules or for myself or my slave to follow YOUR rules. I have absolutely no respect for your opinion on this matter and have more important things to do than follow the little net drama that you seem to live for.

3- thank-you everyone for your input on this topic, but it was both not wanted or requested by myself or my slave, posting this is just seems to be something that crappydom likes to do in his spare time. my slave and i are perfectly happy with our rules and don't need any feedback, and we hope to be continuing our BDSM. We continue to respect the lifestyles of others on here and hope that this issue crappydom has won't be a problem for others.

Bang,
It's not "sad" but it is enlightening.

People covet what the don't have and can't obtain. The most insecure denigrate what they've failed to accomplish.

Enjoy what many who post here only dream to experience in their life. I guess vicarious living can be satisfying and the fodder for masturbatory reference.

machinegunBANG -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 12:27:02 PM)

Do we really want to get into an argument over semantics? This is getting petty. "rules" or "guidelines" or "laws", it does not matter as to how they are labeled but rather as to how they are to be looked at and interpreted. Considering these are the guidelines (or rules, or laws) that my Master and i are following it is only up to O/our interpretation.

But he didn't flame or mock YOU- he mocked a set of rules which you happen to covet.

Granted, he might have done that pre-meditatingly knowing it would irk you, and he certainly may have harassed you privately- but YOU are still the ones who turned this from a general scene mockery into personal flaming.

So it looks like he succeeded in getting you to sully your names by getting into the ring.

LOL did he really?  That's funny.  Critical I am, mocking usually only of myself though- specially when the bait is so old and obvious.

No, I'm afraid he started a mocking topic (which is no moral highground in itself, but certainly not flaming or smearing or making anyone look bad).  You are the ones who have brought a private matter public.

You know it's really easy to ignore and block someone. All it takes is a little self discipline. Then you don't get their emails or see their posts on the forums. You can even {gasp} totally ignore various threads on the forums. You don't *have* to read everything posted. You don't *have* to respond to any of it.

The fact that he left your name off of his post does show a gentlemanly side. It was you and yours who outed yourselves here. Not him. Not anyone else.

GETTING petty?

And you're participating in that process full force.

machinegunBANG -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 12:32:41 PM)

There is nothing gentlemanly by trying to be manipulative.

LadyEllen -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 12:33:33 PM)

I cant help but think this brings a new perspective to things, if these rules are in their CM profile.

Its one thing to look at information in someone's profile privately, and think "what a load of guff" - but surely its something quite different to publish that information and not just hold it up to scrutiny, but actually invite others to ridicule it? The thread title is that invite by the way - it doesnt say "what do you think of this?" after all. This is how I am seeing it I'm afraid, until shown otherwise.

If this present instance is how I see it and is thought by the majority to be in order, then how about we start some more similar threads? Lets go pick through profiles and then post them on the fora; there's no end surely to how inventively we could publicly ridicule a few people?

Now one could say, the profile is already in the public domain - but honestly, how many people here would have come across it through searching or by accident?

I would like to ask CD, how he found this information in their profile and what his motivation was for posting it here publicly with the said invite to ridicule, as I see it?

You are being manipulative yourself.

juliaoceania -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 12:38:21 PM)

The set of rules is not new, it has been commented on before, I have seen it before myself before ever coming to CM, and I had no idea this was related to someone that posts on these boards.

I do have an opinion about such rules for myself, and a lot of people think my dynamic is full of Bullshit, it ain't nothing personal. Laugh at yourself and then it does not matter what others say so much

If my "ridicule" in someway bothered you machinegunBANG, I apologize, but really, these rules were just gathered from a larger set which have been ridiculed far and wide.. it was not a personal thing on my part, really.

Ah...and i know where to find some good ole fodder when i absolutely need it! *grin  Thanks for giving me an offsides chuckle.  Just tryin to lighten things up a bit.

Random thoughts:  There are posts in this thread that if one examines more closely, contain lessons in humanity.  Someone mentioned newbies taking the rules too seriously, etc.  Hey that is their choice to do so.  i for one am not responsible for what a newbie reads into my posts, and the last time i checked neither was anyone else.  If a person has a question they will ask, research and learn, and if they don't shame on them.  We are all adults and are all responsible for our own choices, and that includes newbies.  If nothing else, this thread demonstrates how i do not wish to be as a person in this or any other way of life.

If you are easily annoyed, provoked or offended, then please be careful as to what you wish to share with the public, that is what i say to anyone wishing to sharing stuff on line.  If you post something on the web, no matter what site it written upon, then expect to be receiving more than just comments that support your own POV.  It is one lesson i learned very early on when i first came online.  The next lesson i learned very quickly was that people bash other people, and if you aren't strong enough or confident enough to handle it, then stay out of the lime light, and keep it private.

i also feel that the rules listed, are posted in so many variations, all over the place, and will always be subject to sarcasm and sattire, taking it personal is for me, such a waste of time and resource, that could be better spent ignoring needless or futile drama, by hitting the delete key.  i hate to say it, but some of you folks just seem to take yourselves far too serious at times.  Hec, this is online, where just about anything goes, ya know? Just me.

Akasha,

I condemed these rules as a SET, there are bits and pieces that are good, some are hot, but most are idiotic and as a set, they are profoundly idiotic.

Agreed.

They were already out in the public. So do not get angry when people comment on them. You put them out there. So deal with it.

agirl -> RE: Anyone ever seen a more stupid set of rules? (10/19/2006 1:01:46 PM)

Well, I have two sets of thoughts......

*If that is what they ultimately want/live by/hope for/dream of....etc .......fair play to them.*

And  the other .....

* This is what many fantasies are made of....all in one go, all in one list*

Who am I to say they're daft or stupid?....Part of me thinks they are and part of me thinks that if that's their ideal/goal/ wish...........then crumbs, more power to their elbow.

Lol, very good.

I would also like to say, I didn't realize they came from someones profile, I think I started posting before the post that said that, cause I just went back and found it.  I thought they were just coming from the internet, because I had seen and read the 128 slave rules before.  I didn't read them all the way through, so if there was anything different, I didn't see it.

I am sorry if you felt I was mocking you, no ones thoughts should be machinegunBANG.  My Master and I have our own rules that we went over before he collared me, and if those were published for others to ridicule, I would probably feel the same way.

The others are right also, block if you don't want to hear from someone, it's the best way to handle it.
