Well, you're in luck...next year's Super Bowl is supposed to be in New York City (well...New Jersey).

As for the real reason why they don't play the Super Bowl in places like Cleveland, Minnesota, Green Bay, Boston, etc., it's not the quality of the game. It's because the sports media will whine their asses off that it's cold. The celebrities who come for all of the parties won't be able to wear their skimpy dresses, because it's cold. The players would gladly show up and play in any weather, I'm sure (it's the Super Bowl, after all); it's the other people who would whine and bitch and moan. And if there's less of a party or a negative perception of the Super Bowl, advertisers won't be as interested (AS interested...there will still be lots of advertisers ponying up lots of money).

Hypothetical:

Anchorage Alaska gets a NFL team... and builds an open stadium.

I think that would be hilarious...the ultimate home-field advantage. They'd better draft well, though...not enough of a night life in Anchorage to attract quality free agents.

Another reason is that many cities don't have the infrastructure to support a Super Bowl. Green Bay for instance doesn't have near enough hotel rooms need to host a game like that. The airport in Green Bay would be stressed to its limits.

You know y'all are off-topic. You're suppose to be discussing how wonderful the 49ers are!!

I'm so sorry, Miss, but I knew you'd want to fix that typo. I'm sure you meant to say, "RAVENS, BABY!"

I can't predict what will happen in New Orleans.

Vegas has SF as a four point favorite.

In favor of SF:

(1) Versatile Read Option offense presenting a formidable, hard to defend two-way offensive threat.

(2) Rugged physical defense capable of stuffing the run.

-----

In favor of BAL:

(1) An intangible will to win coming from senior members of the team hungry for a title: Anquan Boldin, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrel Suggs, and Bernard Pollard.

(2) Joe Flacco has more experience than Kaepernick and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to shut up the rotisserie critics who fawn over BRADY, BREES, ROGERS, and MANNING.

(3) A better FG kicker than SF's troubled Akers.

The money in the Super Bowl is not in the out of town attendance of the game. It is in the television and other media. Green Bay would do just fine…You can only fill a stadium once and they would have no problem doing that even at Super Bowl prices.

Every city on the NFL would benefit greatly by a super bowl and should be given a chance.

Away games are the best. St. Louis this year was # 10 for me. Open bar on a bus from Green Bay to the gate way to the west...
