I'm from Baltimore and I wish the Colts well. I think they have a classy team. A guy like Peyton manning gives me a case of hero worship.

That pic is tooo funny. Scary, but funny.
A couple of my Colts friends went to the game yesterday in Balt. They said the team players were handing out terrible towels that said " Fuck the Colts" on them.  I dunno, I may feel that way about certain teams, but I don't think I would wear it on my shirt, or wave it in the air. Also don't think too highly of players who would encourage it.

I agree, mb, though some would call me a hypocrite lol. I swear like a sailor, but I also try to keep in mind not everyone else does.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 8:41:00 AM)

I think it's rude.  But funny.  The players should not be involved in handing out that sort of stuff though.

About Petyon, in the 2007 post season he's carrying a 58% qb rating (they showed it this morning), those picks are killing him.  He nosedives in the playoffs though, we all know that.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 8:43:27 AM)

Yeah, I saw that, and couldn't believe it.  I had a feeling the cameraman must have known what he was doing, because he stayed focused on her chest for several seconds.

Edited to add: I'm glad to see the picture a second time.  Looks like she has a nice mouth for a blowjob.

About the play-calling comment: I really don't think it would have mattered.  The Ravens' offense was stymied all day and I don't think they were going to win that game no matter what plays they called.  I was quite surprised.

Katy, I think some of the pressure of the team aging a bit, and wondering if he'll ever get to the big game, wears on him. He's an incredible player though, and an immediate shoo-in for the Hall of Fame no matter what happens, like Dan Marino and Dan Fouts were. But like those two, I think he'd give just about anything for a ring.

I know, he (Peyton) is the perennial brides-maid.  I can't muster up enough sympathy to feel bad for him, his money and his over-exposure.

maybemaybenot -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 8:51:02 AM)

That's the funny thing about Manning. You would understand it if he were young and inexperienced in play offs, but he's pretty well seasoned. yet, he tanks every year.

Well, you can call me a hypocrit too. I have a mouth like a fish wife, but do not swear in front of children/kids under the age of 18 or in the company of people who do not know me very well. I also don't like to hear a litany of curse words from people I have just met, it does shade my view of them. I do, however, swear quite a bit at football games. There are no kids near me where my seats are. When I did have kids in the earshot area, I try to tone it down.

Can you even begin to imagine the media hype, the near God Like status the public testicle washing Mr Manning will recieve should the Colts ever win a SB? I shudder to think of it. [:'(]

I don't follow pro football that closely, but think I'll make some predictions.

Seahawks 17, Bears 13
Patriots 31, Chargers 20

It would be Elway-esque.

End of regulation:

Bears 24
Seahawks 24

Level -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 1:24:03 PM)

Bears take it in overtime, 27-24.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 1:58:38 PM)

Christ, I think I have to pick the Saints to go to the Super Bowl.  The Bears didn't play very well today.

Level -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 2:12:16 PM)

It does sound unbelievable, doesn't it, Lam? Saying the Saints might go, errr, marching in to the Super Bowl.... I have much more respect for their defense than I had for most of the season, and with the Bears D injury-plagued, it ought to be a close game.

But I can't see either of them prevailing over any of the AFC teams they might meet.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/14/2007 3:28:45 PM)

Damn, I had to miss the 4th quarter of Da Bears, so glad they won in overtime.
I am looking forward to next week's matchups.
I concur, the Super Bowl will go to the AFC.

Whiz is going to the Cardinals:

From the link:

"The Cardinals have had one winning season, and one playoff appearance, since 1984. They have one playoff victory since winning the NFL championship in 1947."

This has been one dismal franchise, but as the article also states, they have some superb young talent, and not just on the offensive side of the ball.

Now, are we going to see the Steelers sign Grimm soon?

At this point I hope they sign him before someone else does.
