Depends on when his dad went. In the 70s or 80s? Big chance they did.

I'll betcha whoever won wasn't the Dolphins.

It's a 60-minute game, actually.

He couldnt give a stuff who won etc. but said the game experience and the pre and post game atmosphere was second to none.  He was really impressed by the way you chaps make a day out of what is in effect an 80 minute game!

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 8:36:14 AM)

Oh, I got the feeling this happened recently.  Yeah, if it was in the 70's, then they were a damned good franchise.

Tony Romo vs Julius Peppers, tonight on NBC. Oyyyy...........

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 1:52:35 PM)

My money is on Peppers.

Level -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 3:48:33 PM)

I hope Romo is alive afterwards.... [>:]

Watching Denver vs Indy right now..... hell of a game.

Nailbiter here, 2 minute warning.

Emperor1956 -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 4:12:57 PM)

Just thought I'd drop in on my friends here on the CollarMe Football thread and say hello.  Nothing much going on.  A nice quiet Sunday (shifting into Bill Murray ala Ghostbusters Mode)WHERE THE CHICAGO BEARS KICKED ASS and TOOK NAMES and went EIGHT AND ZERO and OH MY LOOK they are the ONLY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE TO BE UNDEFEATED.

Hope you all had a nice day.  Luv ya *GRIN*

E.

What league are you talking about?  Can't be the NFL, because, last I checked, the Indianapolis Colts were in the NFL too.

Ouch. I saw the ass-end of that game, it's hell to lose to Oakland, when they gained a total of something like 90 yards. Do not lose hope.....

PeterJay -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 5:03:41 PM)

Hey Emperor! The BEARS are not 8 & 0, they are 7 & 0. I'm not sure where you are from but if you are not from Chicago, get off my bus! Yes, Lordandmaster, Indy did win today, but they are just getting by & the BEARS are crushing their oppenents outside of the Vikings & Cardnials games. But you have to play 4 quarters.

popeye1250 -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 5:17:27 PM)

GO PANTHERS!

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/29/2006 5:42:11 PM)

Beating the Denver Broncos in Denver is hardly "just getting by."  That's a bigger win than whatever the Bears did to the 49ers today.  We'll see how this shakes out, but I know that, in the clutch, I wouldn't want Rex Grossman under center.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/30/2006 4:50:25 AM)

Dallas did it.  And Romo can definitely move around a lot.  I may have to become a believer, in Romo.

Emperor1956 -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/30/2006 1:10:46 PM)

Ooops.  The Bears are of course 7-0 and the Colts (I STILL can't think of them as "Indianapolis", but then again I still think Milwaukee Braves and the Lakers are from a team with a town with a LAKE for God's sake....but I digress) are undefeated too.

I put my errors down to exhuberance, fever and Nyquil.  I'm going back to bed.

E

And yes, Peter, I'm from Chicago.  Da Burbs...Just a bit E of EGV, in fact.

Yes. I saw several instances where he avoided a sack or hit where Bledsoe would have been flattened. [;)]

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/30/2006 3:51:38 PM)

Or where Bledsoe would've stood and waited for the sack.

SlaveAkasha -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/30/2006 3:58:14 PM)

I will have to agree with Level on this one.. being the Colts were undefeated, them going into the game with Broncos and being considered the underdogs.. it's much more than getting by that they won.

The Bears... well, they are good, but San Fran. is not exactly a top team to beat right now.

I am happy the Packers won, so all is good in that.

I look for my Colts to still do good for the season, but as usual..buckle when the play-offs get here..though I am still open to hope that won't be the case this year.
