No, i don't think this was the point LA (not the one Owned was looking for in her post anyway).  If this were the case, it would imply that ALL the people who responded were not 'living the life they really want for themselves'.  Owned wasn't saying 'if you could live another life, what would you be doing'.  She was more describing a vacation type of thing. 
 
She could have just as easily said 'if you and your partner won an all paid vacation to Aruba, what kink would you do while you were there?'  (Instead she chose if you were to stay home.)  Now the answer to that is not 'Oh, i'd never go to Aruba because i am so happy with my life here'.  The point is...let your imagination go and think of some things you would do if you were in that situation. 
 
This wasn't about need.  She wasn't talking about needing a break, or needing to get away.  She was talking about things you could or would like to do if you were alone with your partner.

It's a great question and very valid- people SHOULD take vacations, people SHOULD take time to be special and intimate with their long term emotionally connected partners.

Well many people with kids can't take a vacation....not without the kids anyway.  This was the point...it was a 'vacation of the mind'.  Most couples with kids don't get weekends alone.

But for me, I'm not repressed in what I can do and when, in general at least.  And I'm actually really content with my day to day life.  I enjoy vacations where I don't have an alarm clock, or dishes to cleans- but my vacations are the same as anyones.

Where did 'repressed' come into the picture?  Someone said they'd like to be tied to the bed for 48 hours.  Does that mean that is what they want to do every day of the week, 24/7?  That's how they want to live their everyday lives but are repressing it?  God, i hope not!  LOL
 
This wasn't about what people are repressing in their every day lives....it's simply about having a 48 hour period under a different situation.
 
Maybe every poster should have prefaced their post with 'Well, i am happy with my life, and i don't feel repressed...but if i had 48 hours alone with my partner, here's what i would do...'
 
Would that have made the point a little clearer?
 
Seems there's a lot of suppostion on a really harmless....meaning to be fun...thread.  And it was meant to be fun.

That being said I have reread my origional question to see if I could have been clearer, as with each move in life we are given the opportunity to learn and grow.  Suffice it to say I have learned
