What a load of old tosh. Surely Collarme is not populated by graduates of the Sociology depts of so called higher education. It sounds like it to me.
White working class people have been cannon fodder throughout the ages, have done all the dirty work for minimum wages and less and have lived in poverty and squalor, frequently of their own making.
I happened to read about the conditions that Benny Goodman the jazz clarinettist endured as a child Total economic degradation in the Land of the Free. This is not an anti US diatribe, the same conditions existed in Europe in the 19th century.
Just thought I'd post that because its what I think !
PS dont berate me with slavery issue, I should worry more about the slavery that exists in parts of Africa today if I were you and the fact that the slaves were sold as such by the rulers in the 18th century African slave markets. Modern day Senegal was one. If you white middle class guilt trippers want to apportion blame, at least look at the whole issue of animosity across the racial and social divide.
PS, According to how you worded the above, you assume that my concerns for what goes on in my country, which is the USA negates my concerns of what's going on worldwide? Well, that's rather presumptuous. In general, why is it when those that resent anyone having a problem with the issues at hand, start pulling stuff out of ass left. Just assumed the rest of us have no knowledge of the how where and why slavery came about? If you don't care, cool, but some of us do and will strongly make that clear when ever necessary. So those that wish to keep living in a state of denial about the simple understandings that could join us instead of keeping us divided as a people do so if that makes your day, I do realize some revel in chaos.
Its ok if you wish to keep assuming what you wish just don't tell me what I should be concerned with. I've seen your comments on similar issues in the past, this isn't news to me how you feel on this issue. I get it, you don't like colored people. [:)]
