If I wanted to have sex with an adult consenting family memeber, I wouldn't give one flying fuck about it being illegal.   A lot of bdsm things are illegal, You can be hauled to jail for beating your masochist slave, Anal sex is against the law in some places, Oral sex is against the law. illegal or not has no personal affect on my choice to do or not do something with another consenting legal adult.

however if I can live with the consequences of any taken action, or find the risks acceptable does have bearing.

I will be the first to admit I've bent the law a time or two in my life but some laws are there for a reason... Protection, protecting the innocent in cases of pedophelia, prosecuting the guilty in cases of incest, protecting animals in cases of beastiality.  What we do with SM pushes the boundries of the law but as risk aware consentual adults that is the choise we make.   Poly isn't  legal  and it is how  we have lived our lives but it comes down to a person's own moral  descisions  Thos were the legalities I was talking about.
We are all going to do something  that someone somewhere things is morally reprehensable but we have to be able to look at ourselves in the mirror.

Do I personally think the  sister thing is healthy, no I think it's creepy and seriously wrong but what others do is their business and if it floats their boat  who am I to stop it, all I can do is lend an opinion and hope that can count for something.

Hmm Black knight no where in my reply did I say anything about the insest that to me was the last thing I was worried about in fact most people went right to the consent thing which to me is the real issue here. Her sister hadnt consented to it and there for it was wrong.
