the answer to this is simple,

All Doms are refered to as Sir, only the one that you recognize as your one true Master is refered to as Master.

CP

I assume this is the rule you put on your submissive...but it is not the rule my Master has on me.

I did call my Master "Sir" when we first began conversing...and "Master" when it was clear he was my Master.  I used to call other Doms "Sir" but my rules changed as he trained me away from behaving submissively to others.  I might call certain men I respect "Sir" or certain women "Ma'am" for fun - but not as a sign of submission. I am not to submit to anyone but my Master, and to view myself as an equal human being to others.  He has his reasons for this.

That makes a lot of sense OG, especially given what you have said about your own sense of self-worth when your Master found you.

Amayos - I like the new pic!

Thank you, Katy. It's a little too gratuitously pensive for my tastes, though the least worst of my latest mug shots.

I don't usually call my Master, "Master," rather I call Him Daddy, no matter who is around. When speaking of Him to others, I tend to call Him Michael. This is just what is most comfortable for us.

However, I do have leather roots, and in leather, submissive-types are expected to give respect to Dominant-types by addressing them as they wish to be addressed, whether it is "Daddy Bob", "Master Roy" or
"Mistress Mine". I would never dream of addressing these folks by their first names unless they specifically asked me to. To think of it, most of the Leatherfolk I know address each other as "Master so and so"
or "boy so and so" regardless of station. Dominant-types whom I do not know well, but am introduced to by another leatherperson I respect are usually addressed as Sir or Ma'am unless they request I address them differently.. The best way to know, is to ask the person how they wish to be addressed. I have never been offended by anyone who wished to address me as Ma'am or Mistress, I simply tell them "my name is michael's or if you prefer to use an honorific, Miss will do. Thank you."
