or of its just a little different because most people on here are essentially heterosexual. My personal view of submission means when i find a Master I do what he says. If its unconfortable I deal with it, becuase my life is devoted to pleasing him. I have been reading many of these posts and it seems like many people are really more searching for very secure committed relationships where they have a few kinks in common. Many of the subs seem opinionated and bossy. As a sub the idea for me is I do not have a list of demands, I am he of who demands are made. Perhaps because altho I am Bi most of my experience is with men. Women have always been the sneakier sex, so while they say they sub there is more of a need to be taken care of than anything.

i think (IMHO) that you are talking more about slaves..subs tend to have a say..and a true slave is like you have described

Yes, women have always been the downfall of civilizations since time begin. It's good that you've found that out early in life. Hell, BDSM we can bring down gagged, blindfolded and with both hands tied behind our backs.

I think that it's because of the warm fuzzy approach that developed. The attitude of "take what works for you and leave the rest" is the culprit IN MY OPINION.

Sorry, but I am a bit tired of that line myself. I am very much a slave, but that doesn't mean I don't have opinions and share them with pretty much anyone I want. What I say here on the boards are not things I am saying to my Master, I am answering questions or giving opinions when asked (and sometimes when I am not asked

).

We are all free to say what we want, that doesn't make one a slave and one a sub. I am only a slave to my Master, not a slave to every person reading this board on a daily basis.

If you don't have knowledge of what you need and what you will not tolerate, then what you end up with is a relationship wherein you will feel unfulfilled. Guess what happens then? Resentment and the inevitable breakup.

However I will admit that the term females includes single mother and to that point you are correct. I can submit my life to him, I cannot submit their lives to him. They aren't old enough to consent to such a thing nor is forcing them to do so healthy for them or for me. Because they would be bitter and angry and justifiably so, to the point that if he were to presume he had the right to a punishment dynamic with them, they would have the right and the responsibility to call the authorities about abuse. So where I draw the line of what I can and cannot submit is when and how it impacts them. They are my responsibility and I'm the one who would lose their presence and their love and respect.

Opinionated and bossy people are capable of submitting.

Having a need to be taken care of, doesn't mean someone is sneaky and not *really* submissive*.

Having a primary desire to please a Master and be *demanded of*; looking for a relationship in which YOU can do so, means that YOU are hoping that YOUR desire be fulfilled.

I also read many of the posts here and I've come across very few people's posts that announce that they DON'T *do as their Masters/Doms say* on any regular basis.

When reading posts and glimsing people's lives, it's a good idea to remember that that is ALL it is...a glimpse.

Exactly agirl. I wonder how many EXTREMELY submissive women never even had sex, much less had an owner. If a person believes that submissiveness is something we are born with (I do), it stands to reason that a person could be dominant or submissive without ever even expressing it in a Ds or BDSM way directly
