GoddessGreed -> 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 3:59:50 AM)

sorry guys, but Im gonna bring up the big financial arguement again! I realise its been done here over and over, but I just had to have another rant about it lol
I have just recieved mail from a sub...
GET Lost Im looking for a real Domm and not some fool looking for money!!! You may be nice looking but thats it. I would say to ya go out and get of your arse and get a job like every one else and stop using Subs and slaves

Firstly I'd like to say, in my opinion financial doms ARE 'real doms' Financial domination is just another of the many different fetishes, that people enjoy. There are many men, ( and yes its mainly men!) that search particularly for a financial dom, because that is there 'thing'. NOBODY forces anyone to tribute, gift etc, they do it because they want to, and are gettin off on it!! If its not your thing, thats fine..simply dont get involved and continue your search! I see no need for rude small minded mails! Oh and secondly, I have a real job, In fact I have 3 jobs and work damn hard!
Ok rant over, thanks for listening :)

NorthernGent -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 4:07:15 AM)

Out of interest then, can you give some insight into the exact nature of the power and interest that financial domination holds for you?

GoddessGreed -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 4:16:29 AM)

I love your beard quote, If i were male I might have stolen it, but I dont think itd have the same affect for me!
I enjoy what I do, I wont pretend the tributes arent important because they are, I spend alot of time online, alot of time with slaves, I expect some kind of payment for that time. For me, there is nothing more enjoyable than the power of taking what I desire :)

toservez -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 7:04:44 AM)

I have zero issues with what two people agree to and taking money to dominate someone works for you and your customers then good for all of you. I though do believe most that pay for services of this nature are not into financial domination but are in fact just paying for services that cannot get elsewhere. Are there people out there that are truly into financial domination, of course, but to spin it like all who pay that is part of the thrill in terms of a fetish is a bit too much spin to me.

Services are being exchanged for money, nothing wrong with that in my book but it is what it is.

SimplyMichael -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 7:13:41 AM)

I could fuck 14 year old girls too, they "want" it...but I don't because I have morals and standards, clearly some people don't.

Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you should.

hisannabelle -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 7:17:53 AM)

i don't know why i've always been squicked by the idea of financial domination (not having my finances controlled by my dominant, but being required to pay for His time and attention), when i don't have any problem with other types of sex work - hell, i've considered becoming a stripper or a call girl. while i don't think financial domination should be illegal, it still personally squicks me for some reason.

gooddogbenji -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 7:27:39 AM)

I think it has to do with the value society places on money.  It turns things into a commodity.

Think about this - What do you think of someone who sells a ring they inherited from their grandmother?

Money is cheap.  We don't talk about money in good company.  Why?  Because people who make less would feel embarassed, because they are not as "good" as those who make more.

Money determines who we are in society in a way which few other things do, so to demand that someone give that up, even partially, for a very vague benefit, can be seen as very selfish.

I don't doubt that some people are truly into it, but I also don't doubt that some people are only into it for the money, and God bless the suckers.

Yours,

benji

Odd...you have three jobs and yet you  "enjoy what I do, I wont pretend the tributes arent important because they are, I spend alot of time online, alot of time with slaves, I expect some kind of payment for that time. For me, there is nothing more enjoyable than the power of taking what I desire :) ".

What power is displayed by demanding money for services rendered?  Do you honestly think that if you were to turn them down because they did not offer "enough" of your so-called "financial tribute" that they would not go and seek it elsewhere?  And by the way...just as a point of clarification...the amount of a "tribute" is usually determined by the giver and it is oftentimes based on what he feels is needed to show his appreciation for whatever has been granted him.  Determination of the amount of "tribute" beforehand and by the receiver of said tribute makes it a "charge" for services rendered.  And time is a service...ask anyone, including a call girl, who charges for their time.  Actually, the phrase "I charge for my time" is just a rather snooty way of getting around the fact that you are offering a service that you can and will sell to anyone with the right bucks.  Nothing wrong with that...we live in a free-market system and I happen to love it.  But I like doing business with people that are honest.  In my mind...and I think in most people's minds, especially prodommes (if what I have read of their prior posts is a correct interpretation), any time money is exchanged then business...not any sort of relationship other than one with some sort of business transaction at its heart...has taken place.  These men want to give financial "tribute"?  Odd, isn't it that only male submissives feel the need to pay financial tribute to dominants?  And I am sure it is just a coincidence that it has been noted on various threads throughout collarme that through the ages that at a base level, women tended to withhold what men wanted...sexual services and the "gift" of their time and attention...until they got what they wanted...food, shelter, a relationship or...barring all that...money.

As SimplyMichael noted...I could be fucking underage girls because they "want" it...but I know in my own head that is bullshit.

GoddessGreed -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 7:45:31 AM)

For alot of men, they pay because that is their fetish, other men dont mind paying.. for a service, if they really didnt want to they wouldnt...im making money out of it and having a great time...they are havin a great time too, otherwise theyd go elsewhere! Call it what you like, but nobody is doin any harm, everyone benefits...its not ilegal, nobodies 'fuckin 14 yr old girls' ( altho what that has to do with it I dont know!) so whats the big deal!!!

I can respect what a prostitute does and would never call them whores.  What you do, I would call that whoring...

hang on, you respect prostitutes who sell there body for money to men who dont mind having to pay , but you have a problem with women who take money from men who beg to pay them? or from men who require a service and dont mind paying for it? please explain!

SusanofO -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:08:52 AM)

A money Domme is a prostitute. It's exchanging the satisfaction of a pure financial fetish for money, pure and simple. I agree with SimplyMichael. In one state, and of course in Amsterdam, prostitution is legal, so I see it as neither "good" nor "bad", and I see it as a victim-less crime, if that is someone's fetish. It wouldn't be my fetish, but that's me. I buy gifts for friends all the time, and if submissives by gifts for their Dominants (if they demand it) that could be seen as a tribute. But I do separate tributes from financial domination (or servicing "money slaves") or whatever you call them. There is nothing at all exchanged as far as "service" except that money changes hands - that's the fetish that is being satisfied.

Of course prostitues are usually associated with exchanging sex for money, and none (no sex, presumably) is being exchanged in the case of a purely financial fetish, so one could say they are not. But that  isn't my entire defininition of the word prostitute.

SimplyMichael -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:13:17 AM)

What I object to about SOME pro-dommes is that rather than saying as an honorable prostitute would that they are providing an "alternate" service rather than "real" lovemaking.

People like the OP instead pretend (a nice word for lying and manipulating) that what they are offering is the same, they deny that there are places where men could get the same thing for free.

THAT is what I object to!

The pro-dommes I respect are ones who freely admit there are real world groups.  Their clients are ones who for a variety of reasons want someone who won't develop romantic entanglements.  THAT I can respect, THAT is a service, what people who do otherwise are doing is FRAUD.

GoddessGreed -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:13:39 AM)

I understand if you want to call a money dom a prostitute..what i dont understand is why Michael has a problem with money doms but not prostitutes...especially if hes saying they are the same thing....that I what i would like to be explained to me

ONEDEMANDINGMSTR -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:14:03 AM)

No need to justify what you do, any more than doctors, lawyers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, prostitutes. All charge for services rendered. That is our system, and it works damn well!!!!!  If you provide a service that fulfills needs, and people are willing to pay for it............SO BE IT! One should never have to apologize for finding a lucrative 'niche'. I say go for it and ignore all those who would put you down for your ability to recognize and profit from others' fetishes.

I have to agree with GoddessGreed.  She provides a service to a market.  If the market dried up, she would not be able to provide that service.

But as long as there is a market, I am glad there are people willing to provide that service.

As for the posters who said it "squicks" them, there are any number of people squicked by anal sex, scat play, bdsm, Barney The Dinosaur, whatever.  I would point out that this is your issue and not a universally shared
moral standard.

Well, maybe Barney is, but...

GoddessGreed -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:15:38 AM)

I freely admit i take money from men who have a financial domination fetish...do you have a problem with that?

domiguy -> RE: 'Real doms' (2/27/2007 8:16:12 AM)

This is my argument...You say you are dominant yet I have the feeling (I also already know the op will not validate this) You have routinely lost any form of control cause you are hustlin' for the bucks....Who controls the realtionship the pocket that holds the money or the out stretched hand begging for it?

I have always thought that someone who will allow themself to be purchased for one particular activity will probably do another....They have  already clearly established that they can be bought....(Not referring to you)....So I would imagine in many cases dommes have given head or been fucked because the "Price was Right."

And lastly I don't feel sorry for the men...They are getting what they paid for.

But I would ask how many women who proclaim to be dommes actually are?  I actually think the majority are Pros...Just not dommes.

Thankyou 1demanding! I cant help but notice that the people who have a BIG problem with it and resort to insults are mainly certain male doms, makes me wonder if maybe its a jealousy thing because they cant get the women to pay lol
