WTF are you talking about Fukin?  I didn't see anything about breastmilk on her profile, but there is a hint of a magnificent set of MacGuffies on that profile, I warrant.

2 cents....
or a great deal more....
Try Wiki or googling the Alexander Technique.
Ridiculously expensive from some, but supposed to bring about amazing results in others.  Also, you don't have to do it completely on your own.
Ice skating gets my personal vote for creating muscle memory of the elegant sort.

The name is a nome de plume but Mistress Abernathy's two books are being combined into one revised edition.  I am not sure when Greenery Press will be shipping but those have a lot of good advice in them.

Aye, also the Feldenkrais method (reference Alexander)

but one must think of this as an olympic sport.

look at the terms taijutsu and taihenjutsu, you will most commonly see these associated with the ju jutsus (the gentle art)  and they mean the art of body in the grossest sense.  Any one who does whatever to study how their body moves in more than passing detail becomes more fluid, expressive--if you focus on the act of movement---

OK, new thought--- do you know, that the way a woman that unhinges her hip and puts one foot straight in front of another (especially in high heels) is walking in very efficient fashion?  to move this way in taijutsu is a way to cover ground quickly, but men don't want to be swishers, that is a power we  abdicate to women.

Be like water, like a babbling brook, not a tidal wave, and fill your space.

Eh, enough.

you women, you know how you look at your ass in the mirror everytime you get clothes on? Jukin, this way and that..... do that with the rest of it, even if you ain't got new clothes, then don't ask, just let the royalties roll in.............

I realize it is cheesy but watch Memoirs of a Geisha.

Go one further, read the book.  There is so much the movie left out that demonstrates how these women lived...and the trials suffered to gain that grace and poise.

Definitely one of my favourite novels.

Mimicking the movements is a good start, but there is more to grace than the body.

Yes. I love how people get history confused with storybooks. The women you are taking about were few and far between, living lives of pampering that few could even dream of. Most of them were also well-paid whores who lost their luxerious lifestyles once they aged and something better came along. I noticed that nowhere in your pampering rituals did you list "reading a good book". The women who continued to be desired past the bloom of youth were those who had something better to offer - intelligence or a good work ethic.

Editing to add: Painting one's nails is a only modern attraction. The use of any make-up was long considered the mark of a whore and unbefiting a wife. In addition, tanning is also modern. Only peasents were tanned and as such the noble women you talk about went to great lengths to avoid it. Pale skin was a mark of purity and the only make-up allowed was a lead-based make-up that made the skin paler.

Hee hee. All true!

Those things that lola lists are what her master enjoys and are pleasing to him and isn't that what counts?

I am a jaded, bitter and wicked wench. I have witnessed numerous despair of many cruel wretched masters who today in 2007 believe that :  "Picking maggots out of meat, plucking fowl and sweating in hot kitchens over open fires ARE very graceful activities."

smiles and happiness to a lovely couple :)

This is true and hilarious, and I want you to think about this hard, now---

A man such as myself,  of no more than common mein  could buy  a otherworldy blowjob  fr om nearly any woman here?

Oh, will you suck this old big crinkly motherfucker for a million dollars?
Yes, she says
Good, give me a nickles worth, right now.

More later.

A man walks up to a woman and says "Would you sleep with me for a million dollars?"

"Of course" she says. He then asks "Will you sleep with me for a penny?". She responds with indignation, "Of course not! What kind of woman do you think I am!"

He answers calmly, "We've already established that. Now we are just negotiating price."

Such a thing is attributed (in somewhat different fashion) to Winston Churchill:

Someone out here coined the phrase meat wallet, now; as promised:

I will hereinafter refer to the man (Monsieur) as M, the woman (mademoiselle) as mme.

You will all have to supply your own accents.

A frenchman strolls the Champs Elyesee in Paris. He spots a lovely woman, whom he subsequently accosts.
M: Will you go to bed with me, mme?
mme: (aghast) What do you take me for, M?
M: But mme, I will give you 50,000 francs for this honor.
mme: Oh, but M; I can see I have misjudged you, you are certainly a man of genteel nature and of great refinement...(coquettishly) What will you do when we share our bed of love?
M: I will lay you ever so gently in the finest linens in Paris, I will sprinkle you with fresh rose petals, I will tie you in the softest and silkiest flaxen ropes available—All the while; softly whispering passionate and wonderful words in your ear.
mme: (fanning herself, chest heaving) And then what will you do, M?
M: I will then bring forth my riding crop and beat you mercilessly as you scream.......
mme: (horrified) And how long will you beat me, M?
M: Until I am once again in possession of my 50,000 francs; you ignorant bitch...

Je pense. Donc; je suis. Responde!

Viola! Un Homme!

Oh so true.

And I agree with those who said slow down. Be aware of your presence.  Be aware of your breathing.  Be aware, period.

I am inclined to disagree with the assessment that serving from the heart makes one more graceful.  Like LA, I can be extremely clumsy at times.  This has nothing at all to do with where my heart is in my submission to him, and everything to do with not slowing down when pressured.

and when you trip down the stairs in your highheels and cocktail dress, to kneel gracefully at the bottom, kiss the glass and offer it to your towering master, without spilling a drop is taihenjutsu.

And boy, won't he be impressed.

When you can fall on your back like a common whore with elegance----and your legs precicely placed, it is wonderment for more than you.

Bingo - i like that. i grew up a tomboy and loved it. Until my desire to express myself more femininly came about it didn't matter what i practiced in terms of grace. i think grace is far more an outer extention of an inner radiance.

Back to grace - it does come from within.  But another hint for the outside - be watchful and aware of your hands.  You certanly do not need to have extensive and expensive manicures all the time, but keep them clean and well groomed and always be aware of their position.  Graceful hands are not claws, a lady's fingers are elegant, elongated, fluttering at times, holding something softly and not grabbing them in a fist, think of how a lady used to lightly lay her hand in a man's to be "kissed" instead of grasping his in hers.  Try not to keep tension inside your body, I find daily meditation helps a lot.  Anything that helps you be aware of your body will help with the outside, true comfort within yourself creates it from the inside.  Think of silk scarves blowing in a gentle breeze or a stream flowing gently, softly.  Grace is unobtrusive.
Learning the Language of the Fan can be a fun way to learn more about being graceful with your hands. http://www.ideco.com/fans/language.htm
Learnign true victorial as opposed to Japanese or Chinese Tea service can help you learn external grace, as a good tea hostess never makes a sound with the china or the pour.
good luck!

SimplyMichael,

Again, you write with the sole intent to besmirch my character.  Never ceases, to see you skew things as to justify in your mind a need to flame others--especially me.

I apologize to readers of the thread, who have to witness another case of ugly behavior in text form.

I can say that I have perfected the art of gracefully moving on from a fall/bump/walking straight into a wall that was right in front of you.
