Okay, so we havea fav. movie thread.  What about the worst movies?  Try to make them something that was popular, or at least known.

I will say Pearl Harbor.

GREAT subject, yet they dicked it all up.  I like a love story in a movie, but this was a BADLY WRITTEN one!

The movie over all had historical inaccuracies.  At least the Cuba Gooding Jr. character was a good portrayal of a historical figure in the film.

The only part that affected me was the heart-wrenching after-math of the attack.

If you rent it, fast forward throught the first hour, watch the MIDDLE hour, and fast forward past the rest of it.

Worst of all?  A Baldwin portraying Dolittle!

I would agree that the remake of Pearl Harbor was horrible; as was the remake of Titanic.

Other's that I would have to include are the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the remake of The Body Snatchers, the remake of Cheaper by the Dozen...

LOL can you tell that I dislike remakes of classics?

HydroMaster -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:02:41 PM)

Amen, great movie except for the parts that sucked lol.  I didn't mind the historical screwups much because I was just looking at it from a theatrical perspective.  I knew going in that a lot of it would be inaccurate.  I think I enjoyed it more because I didn't go in expecting it to be like a documentary.

Ok, my worst movie ever.....drumrole.....Barbarella, ...what....the...hell?

bearincuffs -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:03:04 PM)

And there's the remake of When A Stranger Calls.  That really sucked!

RWAble -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:06:01 PM)

Oh, again a long list.
Barbarella
Lost in Space(The Movie)
Mission Impossible 2
The Grifters
And my personal worst The Fly and anything with Jeff Goldblum.

bearincuffs -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:08:55 PM)

watched it on television and was still a waste of time

fergus -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:10:57 PM)

Man, all remakes!

I liked the remake of Texas Chainsaw, though Ermy saved the film ... but it was NOT as good as the original!!!!

y'know, I never could stomache the Austin Powers movies.

Man, it wasn't even the inaccuracies that ruined it for me ... it was that the love story was SO poorly written!

If you want a good WWII aviation movie with a DECENT love story I suggest Dark Blue World

Or even The Brill Cream Boys.

RWAble -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:34:10 PM)

And for some more:
The DaVinci Code(It just wasn't convincing)
Babel(Not sure what they were getting at there?)
Space Cowboys
The Bourne duo's

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:47:18 PM)

The DaVinci Code only sucked because i read the book before seeing the movie. Cat Woman and Elecktra - thumbs way WAY down.

MasterFireMaam -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/6/2007 5:50:27 PM)

I don't know. If I don't like it, I just don't watch it.

BTW, did you all know that it is perfectly acceptable to walk out of a movie theater within the first 20 min of the movie and demand your money back 'cause you think it sucks? They'll probably try to give you a free pass instead of your money (which is cool).
