The analogy to "marketing" isn't so applicable to big company marketing, where there is TV advertising, focus groups, partnerships with other large companies, etc. Unless you've got $400 million or so to market yourself with, this is really more along the lines of small business marketing. The first thing a small business person, or entrepreneur, needs to know before marketing, is why they're in business in the first place. What drives them, what are they passionate about? For "dating," know why you're in the dating market in the first place. Relationships are work, yes? Why are you taking that on, what do you want from one? What are you passionate about? What are your values and beliefs? Then, it's about finding someone who shares those passions, values and beliefs. That's a sales function. Once you know yourself well enough, the question you ask is easy enough to answer. Do you like lookin' hot? Or is personal comfort paramount? Are you into manners and being refined? Or are belching and farting forms of punctuation for conversation? We all have flaws, but they're usually flaws because we're focused making the things that are more important to us work better. I wouldn't suggest putting a lot of effort into "hiding" them. Instead, put the effort into finding someone to whom they're just not that big a deal. Rex
