In your advertisement, do you stand behind your product? (grin)

And they say marketing doesn't pay off!  Nothing like having someone run a thread saying only whores market themselves to generate some interest!

I haven't read all the thread, but isn't one of the key components of modern marketing "BRANDING"?   HRRRMMMMMM...

E.

I think that it is human nature to be on your best behavior when meeting new people.
You meet each other, find out if there is enough interest to meet again, and slowly
get to know each other's quirks and faults.  There is a line between putting your best face
forward and hiding a room full of baggage and unresolved issues.  But hey, nobody needs
to know if you sing in the shower or snore in your sleep until you get to a certain point
in the relationship.   [:D]

GeekyGirl -> RE: Marketing (3/19/2007 12:25:26 AM)

This thread has made me think about myself.

I must be a weird exception to the general rule. Everyone else is putting their best foot forward and I'm not... I put up a wall of poor behavior when meeting people. (Perhaps one of our resident psycho analaysts can help me figure out why.) I am very blunt and border line rude when meeting new people. A person has to really TRY to get to my good side before I'll act kind towards them. This is why my best friend accuses me of being "an acquired taste".  It's like I have an assumption that all people are inherently assholes until they prove otherwise to me and so I'm pretty bitchy until I get to know them, at which point, my sweet side comes out. Go figure.. So I guess I do the opposite of marketing ;)
