I saw this movie yesterday and I liked it. It was what I expected from Frank Miller, the cinematography was beautiful and it was an exciting story. I have my bachelor's degrees in history and criminal justice. I never go see any movie depicting either of these subjects with an expectation of technical accuracy. I think that it is obvious that the director wasn't going for that here even to someone that knows very little about ancient history. I love westerns, but I have yet to see any western that accurately portrays that time period. I love police dramas, but I don't know of any police department in the United States that would allow one of it's officers to be back on the job right after a shooting. I watch movies for entertainment. I think I got my fill of listening to my father as a child when we watched war movies. He was a infantry officer in the Army and a Vietnam veteran, and he always sat there and nit-picked every single detail of a war movie. I hated it, and I dislike seeing movies with people who do it now.
