Once again, you and yours choose to insult, with information that is incorrect. Clearly Sanity is correct (and beat me to the point), that Democrats also voted to invade Iraq.

Now they are voting to bring the troops home because it was determined they were fed a bunch of incorrect and faulty intelligence, and there is no end in sight for the debacle the current administration started.

Well, that and the fact that the war is no closer to being over today than it was prior to Monkeyboy having 4 or 5 years to actually accomplish something.

Yes democrats failed in their obligation just as the republicans...It isn't much to tout but the country was in a uproar after 9/11 and wanted action...And our President provided that action....Wrongly....

Look at what happened to people who excericsed their right to speak out...Dixie Chicks...Couldn't sell out and had to cancel concerts...Tim Robbins career was not helped by making anti-war statements...Just to name a few.

There are people today who hate the D.C.'s and Tim Robbins for speaking out..For exercising one of their most cherished rights, and If I might add, being correct in their voicings.

Our politicians are only concerned with keeping their jobs and could actually care less about their constituents..If it's popular who cares about the ramifications if we are wrong!

The majority of them are gutless or just plain idiots.

I don't think Goldwater and Johnson debated on TV in 1964. Found an interesting reference to it on CNN.com.

You're right. It must have just seemed like they debated each other because they were shown on TV so much, with speeches and ads. Thank you for clearing that up. i think the debates were primarily between the Johnson backers vs. the Goldwater backers. It was a very heated election, as i recall.
