I didn’t my only crime here was not paying attention to the fact that someone else did, but as I posted before…most times I am only barely existing and can’t even afford to pay attention.

You don't really believe buy changing the site and make it a paying one that you will change the people who use it do you? I also came here from ALT and have found some beautiful people including a Mistress who I like and am writing too. You have heard the saying what part of NO don't you understand well some aren't going to understand no matter what you  do. I say if it ain't broke don't fix it and Collarme ain't broke. I think this is a great site and I like the forums and the return mail I have received please don't change it(at least for the most part ) everythig need some change as time goes by but by far this is a great site.

I know I have responded to this once but after reading some of the other responses I had to offer something else the fellow that says fifteen bucks a month is nothing well if you have an illness and have been waiting 5 months for SS to make up their mind it is a lot.  I write to some women and men without expecting a response. I'm sorry if it offends you I don't do it offen but something in their profile reaches out to me or I have a question about something they provide how do I know if it is what I want if I can't reach them. And how can they expect to be paid the tribute they want without hearing from me. Some bitch without even filling out their profile. Just take some asprin and lay down you will feel better. It seems they are the ones most bitter on here. I spoke to several Mistresses on here and by doing that I have found two that fit me very well. This is a great site and without trying to sound like I'm chasing you away if you don't like it here you most likely won't like it anywhere else either.

I left Alt, because I got tired of paying to get emails from wankers At least here, while I still get those emails, I am not paying to get them.

Exactly how much do you think I should have to pay a month so that people can say they are "full figured" instead of 250 pounds? 
I for one really enjoy this site, but I couldn't afford to pay for it.  If a person's profile is whiney and negative, I see it a early warning.  It's better to see these personality traits before you even write to someone than it is to discover them six months into a relationship.

if this site became a paid site, i'm sure i'm not the only one that would leave. if any of us wanted to pay for a site, there's other places to go.

i was a member of an adult paid site. after 24hrs of posting my profile my mailbox was flooded with messages from lonely, desperate creeps who never took the the time to read my profile. they only liked what they saw in the pics i had (which were only 2) and thought i was horny enough to meet them at hotel rooms alone for one night stands. some of the messages included lewd  requests wondering if i wouldn't mind being gangraped or bound and gagged while a buddy and a "few" friends had fun. a couple of men gave me all their personal info i could have opened credit card accounts in their names if i wasn't honest. yet out of all the messages i received - only Daddy's was the one which got an immediate response though i wasn't looking for another Dom when i left my former one.  so it doesn't matter if CM was a paid site or not, you're still going to get a bunch of bad apples as members.

That will satisfy all the whiners who rant in their profiles about being flooded with email.

Here again, making this a paid site would not eliminate these problems, but would significantly reduce them.

First, it would enable them to make some important modifications. We really need better search options here. For example, I'd add the following options when searching for profiles:

- What do you seek? a) Women, b) men, c) both (This ensures that, for ex., bisexuals who only seek women, don't get mail from men.)

- Are you here to meet someone for: a) Lifestyle relationship, b) professional clients, or c) just chat?

I think we all agree that these are important issues, which might be addressed if they can pay a web designer and maybe even moderator.

These search options will better ensure that a Dominant women who, for example, wants only to chat, doesn't get mail from a man who wants a lifetime relationship, since these issues seem to be a source of such heartburn for so many people, reading their profiles.

Also: let's face it, having to make a small payment gets rid of (most) trolls. It ensures that serious, committed people sign up. And it also keeps the cheap pro's from using this site as a free ad.

On paid sites, like Alt, I don't see the anger and bitterness in Dominant womens' profiles, as I see here. The reason? Alt is a paid site; therefore, the "unwashed masses" can't slam someone with endless mail (which is what seems to cause all the anger in their profiles and journals).

And besides, I won't have as much of a nagging feeling that the person claiming to be 24 is really 16...

What does everyone think?

I was on Alt.com first, and I never paid, it can be free, there is no guarantee of the caliber of clients you know? Besides, I met the person I wanted to meet over here on the CM... I think there's room for a free site and then also the Alt.com types (which to me, seems as if it's a lot more over-commercialized and has equal if not more of these so-called "unwashed masses" than here... IMHO)... besides, the ignore/block/delete buttons work quite well, and for free... that's all I need... again IMHO

edited to say that, ok, I may make decent money, but, I think I'm too much of a "cheap bastard" -- I'd never spend $15.00/month... phooey on that, I'd go back to playing SIMS 2 [;)]

Some people are only here because it is free. If it werent I couldnt be here I cant afford a monthy fee for a date sight period I dont make enough as it is to do what I need to do beeing a student and all. I really love how people who have been here less then 2 months come along to complain about things like this.

You are always going to get 'tossers' on these sites (see Klammer and his/her/it's nigger comments) you are always going to get know-it-alls who are desperate for authority and attention, you are always going to get sheep who follow anything that sounds remotely in-tel-i-junt but one thing is for sure, if you make it paid entry you will not get the vast array of talent we see here on collarme, a forum in general is to harvest new ideas and besides sites like collarme make enough dosh from advertising. Keep it free or lose all your people!

Who was it that said it was beer/partying money?  Why can't it be food/rent money? Or even money someone would otherwise BE putting into savings? While I am not here for "hooking up" I enjoy the forums. I would not, however, pay $15 a month for it, not because I couldn't afford to, just because I personally would think it a stupid thing to throw money away on. LOL, and as for waiting til your finances were in order to enter a relationship or get married, there would be a lot of bitter lonely people in this life if they all took that advice. I got married at 18, without a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, and now 15 years later we are still married and happy and in a much better postion then when we started. Something we built, together.
