ORIGINAL: FatDomDaddy annabelle... All joking aside, The American Journal of Public Health is a pretty serious outfit. They just don't go making up stuff up. I don't think they are making any connection that sexual idenity has anything to do with weight, only that obesity is greater in the Lesbian population and that it puts them at a greater health risks than heterosexual women. you are aware, of course, that research results can be skewed to prove whatever they set out to prove?? i was raised by a research scientist & most so-called "scientific studies" are bunk...take, for example, the fiasco of the hormone replacement therapy studies that "proved" that women who took HRT were at less risk of heart disease than those who didn't...imagine their surprise, then when women on HRT started dying from heart disease...turns out the first study didn't have women in it who had all other factors in common...big whoops, wouldn't you say???
