Why thank you, Des, I do hope I can. I appreciate the kind words!

Oh gawd and he's brand spanking new, too.

Be still my beating heart.

See!  A new fellow who is not a jackass...... and he's all swoony in his tux!  I expect he's gonna have girls beating down his.... mmm hmmmm

JBGolden -> RE: How to correctly email a female sub on CM (11/13/2009 6:16:27 PM)

Well, I figured in my experience from the internet and what women have to say about dating sites in general not putting up a picture of my wang put me somewhat above the curve hahaha.[:D]

flogger -> RE: How to correctly email a female sub on CM (11/15/2009 12:32:07 PM)

I'm going to do use my first name in my next e-mail to a sub/slave and show how interested I am in her and tell her about myself briefly as long as she has a pic I can see on her profile so I can know if they are ok. and some humur (lol)

I am pretty happy if I see them sign off with their name. All too many of them will refer to themselves as Sir(name), or Master(so and so). I want to see a name. I want to know they are ok if I view them as regular people. Humor is nice. And it is also nice if they show they are interested in me.. and not just some random anyone will do, sub. Finally.. I hate.. hate.. hate.. it when the entire gist of the email is only referring to my submission. They offer nothing about themselves or any reason why I might want to check them out (the old standard, check out my profile if you are interested, does not cut it!)

JB, having just read your profile, I take it back. Love is correct. You are just really sweet and nice and I'm sure you'll find someone who can appreciate you properly.

He's going to have them beating down his door!  He's really handsome, charming, intelligent, articulate, kinky, and he likes rpgs.  I'm going to go fan myself to cool off before I swoon.

Anyone who needs a instruction manual to do this should probably be avoided.

Yep yep yep !  If you cant write a letter to evoke a response there is something wrong with YOU....Not the reader.

Yes, indeed I did.  In fact, I've already offered myself as head of his online harem.  I'll be accepting brib..er.. applications just as soon as I confer with his Swoonship.

Funny aside on point 5.  I got my degree in psychology, so, naturally I used to think CBT was Cognitive Behavioural Training.  Yeah.  I was mistaken on that one ;)

That’s what I'm trying to help male Doms figure out.

A woman is a woman, whether she is dominant or submissive or switch or vanilla or other.

I think that the essence of the 10 Steps For Making A Good First Impression thread in Ask A Mistress is not a bad starting point, regardless of your d/s orientation or gender. Of course the tone might change based on the dynamic but a respectful tone it should be nonetheless.

I can tell you that I do receive emails from Doms wanting to know if I switch or want to co-Domme and most of the time, they aren't any classier than a lot of the trolling subs!

There is a term in use where I work called "Computerized Book and Ticket". Yes, they refer to it as CBT. I had a problem with that when they introduced it and still grin at it from time to time. I wonder how many other BDSM abbreviations are used for other things?

Be well....

There is a very interesting blog site at Okcupid where they discuss statistics including what words in messages from men to women are most associated with getting replies and starting conversations. Among the most successful was "you mentioned" denoting that the message discusses something specific from their profile.

Hierodule -> RE: How to correctly email a female sub on CM (11/22/2009 10:35:34 PM)

I (heart) Ok cupid. I was so addicted to it after my divorce. That site is dangerously cute. I had to delete my profile.
