The only mistresses that ask for tribute are ones that are professional, either part time or full time. Mistresses that only engage in lifestyle bdsm don't ask for tributes. Some lifestyle dominas are also professional domina's who charge submissives they are not in a relationship with. There have been many times when I have considered exploring the realm of professional domination. My reasons are primarily relationship and experience orriented. As a lifestyle top and domme, I frequently recieve offers from men who want to play with me or be submissive to me. I rarely play casually. I usually play with an intimate partner who is mine. As a pro-domme, I wouldn't feel the need to view every submissive or bottom as a potential partner who will become my own. Because of this, I have more opportunities to share knowledge and experience that I don't have simply being in the lifestyle. I believe that as a pro-domme, It would be much easier for me to enjoy dominance and bdsm with out all of the wants, needs and desires of a committed relationship. Another point. Pro-dommes are not the only ones who make money in this lifestyle. There are website designers, fetish fashion designers, toy makers, magazine publishers, book authors and movie directors, who have all made a profit from this lifestyle. Many of these people are proffesionals in the lifestyle who have made with lifestyle better for those who choose to participate. On some days, I hope to become one of them, some one who makes the lifestyle better for those who choose to participate. There is a saying about professional sex workers: You don't pay them to be girlfriends, you pay them to leave and let you go home to the girlfriend you already have... With a professional domina, you don't have to be good looking, single, in the same age group, service orriented, with all the same fetishes, a great sense of humor, great personality, simaler taste in music, movies and books, fairly liberal, enjoy volunteer work and computer technology.. As a lifestyle domina, I require a submissive to be good looking, single, poly, in the same age group, service orriented, with all the same fetishes, a great sense of humor, great personality, simaler taste in music, movies and books, fairly liberal, enjoys volunteer work and computer technology. Fortunately, I have a great sub who is all of those things. But...When I am not in a long term relationship, being a lifestyle domina doesn't necessarily mean I get to play or be served on a regular basis. Actually, being a lifestyle domina means I don't get to play or be served on a regular basis. Professional Dominas are the ones who playing and being served on a daily basis.. and having thier rent paid at the same time. It's really less of a tribute and more of a tax. The way we add taxes to "sins" such as cigarretes, alcohol and other things that are not good for us. Many people have complained that we can't tax people for being stupid, ugly, married or a milllion other qualities that annoy us, but the pro dommes have found a way around that. And many of them call this tax: a tribute.
