I make wood stuff for machineguns, is your .30 cal a 1919a4 an a6?  I make fitted cases that hold the gun, tripod, and all the bits.

I set it up so my ex got tto shoot both German belt feds, the MG34 and the MG42, a suppressed Sten, ac556 Ruger full auto mini 14, Czech CZ26 (what the Israelis copied to make the Uzi), AK 47 (I have met Mikhail Kalashnikov), FN FAL, STG 58, M2 Carbine and god knows how many "regular" guns. 

It always amazes me more liberals do not embrace the power to change our government if need be.  We (us liberals) distrust police, government, etc and yet all too many liberals are perfectly happy allowing police and government to be the only ones with the ultimate power.

Besides, think how wonderful if we kept reading about another dead rapist!

Both.  [:D]  Seriously, what is wrong with that?  I am not a convicted felon or nutcase.  I like guns the same way that some guys like vintage motorcycles or muscle cars.  I don't have a criminal record, do drugs, or have a mental problem.  What's the big deal?

You claim your not a nut or a drugy(you might lie about that,if it was true).But who`s to say you won`t go crazy,or find a love for crystal meth down the road?

And if grenade launchers were legal,who`s to say some nut wouldn`t destroy your house,after lying about drug use or his mental health?

   The old saying is true..."When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
The government needs to work on creating stiffer penalties for those who use guns illegally, rather than constantly try to create new laws that make it even more difficult for a normal, law-abiding citizen to obtain a permit to own/carry a gun.
  The guy who uses a gun to commit a crime is not the guy who is going to go to a gun safety course, get properly trained in firearm safety, apply for a permit and wait for it to be sent to him. Granted, there are other situations...Crimes of passion...etc, where someone might use a legal firearm to harm someone, but those cases are far fewer than those cases where a legal firearm has been used to protect oneself, loved ones, and/or property.
   I have My permit and I carry. I'm glad I carry. I will continue to carry until (God forbid) the anti-gun nuts get enough control of government that guns are outlawed. Then I will reluctantly turn in My weapons. Afterall, I'm not a criminal.

ya know...I used to just have a mild sense of respect for your words...now that I know all this..well...I think I need a cold shower...

And its an a6, but I only have the bi-pod..want a tripod but havent been able to find one yet.  Sir actually teaches classes on russian weapons for the Military, he's got a pretty darn large collection but I couldnt go into what all he has because I never can remember all their names and stuff.

Great,... let`s pass a law,like  that nutty southern town,that every household have a gun in it.Only this time, we`ll go a step farther(better, in the eyes of an NRAer) and require an auto-matic grenade launcher, in every household.

Why are the NRAers so paranoid about the gov. taking their guns?No one has ever taken that right away,only regulated it,as it says in the Constitution.

Thing is,most guns don`t protect people.You`re more likely to shot a friend or family member,then a perp.

And there are plenty of people,w/ out criminal records,who abuse their gun rights.A couple years ago,someone shot off the lower jaw and tongue off my neighbor`s dog.It  limped back home and had to be put down.God help the "gun nut" who did that,if I ever find him.

Not saying you or anyone here would do that.But I`m pretty sure the guy who did, was a "pro gun nut"(to para-phrase Cuffkinks).

One doesnt have to be a professional to "state" anything, in fact make all the statements you want...but please don't group everyone into one big lump of insanity because we don't all have the same beliefs you do.

Now, I havent seen the video clip, I have dialup and cant check out youtube stuff...so I have no idea whats going on...but, I will be very adament in saying, just because someone has weapons in the vicinity of children does not make them insane. one thing about guns i grew up shooting them. I did a lot of competition shooting in 4H have all kinds of awards
i have a respect for guns. did a lot of civil war reenactment which i still love its family fun kinda like a renfare with a charge lol. when i went into the Military in basic i got the chance to fire just about everything under the sun have expert in over a 100 weapons from the law to a 120 mm man tank gun poping a cap as it is said is fun. i love tracer rounds it is like star wars lol but not good for a gun barrel. 50Cal ,214 to m60, grease gun a lot of other fun stuff but what it is taught me weapons are used for one important thing to defend. our right to freedom our right to live in peace. our right to liberty which has been paid in blood.. if evil men or women use things to commit crimes and we have to the power to stop them who is in more wrong just a thought .. I wonder what people would say if they could trade places with someone who lived in china or in russia were their freedoms is nothing like ours

Just a shoot`m up, at a range.You`ve probably have already seen it.It`s old.

And you`re mistaken about kids and guns.They don`t mix well.Every time I hear about a kid shooting another,their`s always "responsible adults" providing access to the loaded guns.They teach the kid proper handling and all,and then ,months,years later they get a call from the police,saying their child mistakenly got shot  or mistakenly shot his/her friend.It just happened a couple weeks ago ,just like that.It` your right to do this ghita,but you should think twice.Do`nt take it like everyone try`n to tell you what to do.It`s about kids growing into adults,with out getting shot along the way.

kitten, you lost me when you equated insanity with having firearms around little children -- insanity is having firearms around when the owner or likely users have no knowledge of guns, no knowledge of gun safety and no responsibility.  Nothing in that film clip indicated to me the least bit of irresponsible gun use or gun ownership.

I'm happily an anomaly - very liberal, very well educated, Jewish, too well off and a proud gun owner.  I am a good shot (by choice with a shotgun, but I can acquit myself well with a pistol or rifle).  I raised my daughter to know and respect guns.  My wife, being visually handicapped, has no interest in them, but she was raised in a family with several guns used by her father and brothers for target shooting and hunting.

  So, in New Orleans, after the flood, when guns were confiscated and people had no way of protecting themselves from the looters that were running wild...I guess you'd call that "regulated."
  I am an NRA member. And it's because of groups like the NRA that the govt. can't take guns away. And speaking of it, as for the thinking about the govt. taking guns. I personally think about it because you have anti-gun nuts like NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg traveling the country meeting with other Mayors trying to get them all to see things his way. (On the dime of the NYC taxpayers, by the way.)
That's not paranoia, that's fact.
  So while I am an NRA member, I don't actually agree with everything they stand for. But I show My support with My membership.

Please understand something about what I wrote, Owner. My chidren are not allowed access to loaded guns. Yes, there are weapons in the house. Under close supervison my children are tought gun safety. It is possible to teach alot of aspects of gun safety without ever handling a weapon. Once they are old enough to handle a weapon, alot of local kids are tought how to safetly handle one...but even once they are tought that, they still dont have access to weapons. We do not leave any weapon laying around the house, and yes I agree, to do so would be idiotic. I also happen to know a young teenage boy who lives down the road from us whose friends decided it would be "cool" to show off his daddy's gun. I am pretty darn sure that it could have turned into one of those accidental shootings very easily. Lucklily, the young man in question new exactly how to handle the situation because it is something that was discussed with him from a very young age.

I don`t know,the little kid with the Uzi,that was as dicey as Erwin, playing meat toss w/ a crock,while dangling his infant.Safe?Maybe.Wise?  NO

And do you really think they`d show any mis-handling or mis-fires in their movie?
You have heard of editing......

If you saw video of actual shootings(mistaken,passion crimes,etc),would that make an impression on you?You don`t see much of that,you only see when things don`t go wrong,in films like that.

I`ve walked away from hunting trips,because one the guys showed a serious lack of respect for guns and my safety.I`ve seen mis-firings and stupid acts.There`s no "do overs" ,with firearms.

just curious-----why do you conclude that the person who shot the dog had no criminal record?   You are equating anyone in the NRA as a gun nut right?  Or do you mean anyone who possesses a gun (even completely illegally) is a pro gun nut?
Also I am an animal lover but have no problem shooting a loose dog that is attacking one of my animals.  Many dogs that act very sweet at home and around the kids will go on kiling rampages when they get loose.  Most places you are not legally allowed to let your dog run loose, and you really have no right to get upset if you fail to secure, or actually train,  your dog follows its natual instincts into harm.

Why exactly do you consider the 2nd amendmant to be invalid?  Or could you clarify your position better if I mis interpret it.  Anyone who supports the 2nd amendmant is a "pro gun nut"?  Why do you not support it?

Guns and kids are fine....Ignorance and kids is always a problem, whether there are guns involved or not

Who would wear a tee shirt with the name of someone that mistook his buddy for a quail to a shooting event!

I don't think THOSE are the kids who are going to stumble upon a gun and accidentally shoot someone else via playing with it, because they've seen what they do. Those aren't the kids I'd worry about today. Their parents care enough to be doing something with them.
