What you don't understand is that he would have the power to repeal executive orders. He would also be able to rescind the state of emergengy enacted in the 1930s, which gives the President the power to issue executive orders in the first place.
There are some 13,000 executive orders in force, and almost every one of them is unconstitutional, unlawful as they would never pass congress, and totallly enforced without regard to the Constitution, no matter what the supreme court says.
There is nothing we can do under admiralty maritime Jurisdiction to stop it. Only the President can end admiralty maritime jurisdiction.
Congress gave the President that power a long time ago, and the Law does not really provide for them to take it back. Thus the problem.
But Paul could do other things as well, needed steps on immigration and so forth, and he cannot make abortion illegal at will. Well he could but no President would by executive order, I think.
Actually I'd like to see about seven Ron Pauls on the supreme court, and one as President.
You do realize what this will do to the economy right ? It will be wrecked, but the longer we wait the worse it will be.

Above all, and most importantly....What Ron Paul could and would do, is unify and set the tone with America-- And I'm talking about the people, not the political parties.
Anytime he spoke or held a press conference, he'd command mainstream media and a huge audience. He could really set the tone speaking to the citizens and educating them how a massive trade imbalance and non-organic, non-tangible monetary systems--backed only by a reputation in decline--are destroying America.
He could put a team together of savvy, highly regarded, ethical economists--not from Kohlberg Kravis and Roberts or Goldman-Sachs--and make them part of his cabinet.
He could then go on national television and streaming video, before the people, and deliver a very pragmatic and logical power-point-style presentations--similar to Perot's info-mercials of the 90's-- explaining to the people how and why we've been ass-raped since 1964.
Once the people have it put clearly before their eyes and explained to them--Ron Paul as president could actually go out and speak against/identify sell out Senators like John McCain and John Corzine--both mainstays of the neo-liberal framework--and push/pull/stump for candidates much more nationalistic and representative of both America and the average hard-working American.
In essence, having Ron Paul elected as President would empower the every-day average citizen and surely cause more independent-minded, more nationalistic candidates to enter the political arena and run for office opposing the status-quo.
