Ron Paul flirts (doesn't actually believe it) with the 911 kooks.  That is the extent of his support.  But he is the closest to a real politician who will even entertain the wacked out theories, which gets certain people quite excited.  The day he gets actually put on the spot and denies them, is the day his candicy is over.

I'm really glad someone already likened Ron Paul to Ross Perot. Because I was having flashbacks, too.

Wasn`t it Perot, that told us that "free trade",NAFTA,GAT,etc were bad for America?

And hasn`t history vindicated him?

It sure has. I think he has much more momentium than Ross Perot. And I think that  Ron Paul's supporters are more organized and learned from the Perot camnpain what needs to be done for success.

Let`s hope so.Dr. Ron Paul has integrity and honesty.

My post ,was to also point out the poor judgment of those who mocked Perot(pissed off republicans mostly),and those that mock RP now.Like luckydog linking RP w/ conspiracy nuts.Nice try dog.Typical right-wing smear, let`s hope it doesn`t work.

Or this. It`s RP at his best, a real "old school"republican.Honest as the day is long. How refreshing.

and check out Hanity.Trying to make RP look bad,and never quite does.

News flash....

It was Fox`s spin and misrepusentations, that are the issue here,in it`s "text-voting" poll. Not the poll itself.

Does everything need to be explained to you?

And,lol, don`t even think about accusing others of pretending. What defines neo-cons, is pretending to be a republican,a patriot, and an American.

I campain, and it's not at all hilarious, alot of people actually seem to enjoy the Ron Paul message and readily except my cards that have his voting record, phone lines and websites they can call for more information on Ron Paul. At least they are awake and coherint to the fact that our liberties are being taken away, and that America is in finacial ruin and if not delt with will lead to bankrupsy and the complete collapse of the USA. Keep eating what they spoon feed you, and then when you wake up one day and realize you are not a free man and not living in the country our founding fathers dreamt of and fought for it will be too late. It is neocons like you that are ruining this country. And I'm not a 911 kook, no conspiracy theory there. Because I'm a Ron Paul supporter I must be a conspriacy theorist or a kook? You are completely WRONG. Ron paul has a vast aray of people that support him because we believe in liberty, prosperity, and peace!!! And those polls show that his supporters are people not just internet spammers. You are off your rocker if you are truly gonna classify Ron Paul supporters as kooks!! I believe in the constitution, liberty, freemarket, that inflation needs to be address, and peace...wow I'm really out there aren't I?

Uh Cassie, thats a nice fantasy, but look at the real polls, where they attempt to get a valid sampling of the population.   Ron gets 2-3% of the vote.  The straw polls and phone in polls are absolutly meaningless.  Now it this point we are both simply making predictions (though you are pretending he has much more support than he actually does), so we shall see who wins the primary.

Which "real polls" are you refering to? Do you have links? How are these Real polls conducted if not at a straw poll phone or internet? Also No I'm not over exagerating anything look up the meet up groups. Do you realize how many there are? And how many people go to them? Sometimes thousands. There are people from every party who support him. I would bet money he gets most of the libertarian votes, which just so happens to be the third largest political party. I'm not overexagerating anything. You are underexstimating. In early polls no he didn't get alot of the votes, because not many people even knew who he was.  I can't wait to see how many people register as a republican before the primaries. That will be a tall tell sign. Are you retracting your statement that basically implied all his supporters are kooks? Because that was the main point in my argument and you seemed to have forgotten to address it.

Yes, I define anyone who does not grasp the difference between a scientific and a call in poll a kook.  Do you really not grasp the difference?  Sad.  You could very easily look up a set of polling numbers from legit sources, apperantly you never have.  Take a look  http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08rep.htm

I did say that some of his supporters are Democrats hoping to get a nut in the Republican slot, because they know he will be simple to beat.  and yeah, most of the rest of them are kooks.  A few are simply un educated teenagers.  What exactly will the number of people pretending to be Republicans, to try to get a pathetically weak candidate nominated be a "tall tell sign" of?

I'm not sure if this means anything to anyone or not, but where I live in Florida, there's a growing number of Ron Paul campaign signs popping up in front yards. One of the other Republican hopefuls (Romney), when visiting the area, wondered aloud that it seemed to him that Ron had better support in the area than he did. I've yet to see any signs for any other candidate, whether they be Republican or Democrat, in any front yards.

Ron Paul must have one hell of an organization at the grass roots level around here if he's surprising the so-called front runners from both parties with his exposure thus far.

Ron Paul's day is done.

The general populace extended their favor to him in the early days of the debates.

He's expressed himself...and he lost.

Let's move on.

what is fuckin sad, is that there are people who would consider that there is a difference between a scientific poll and a call in poll.

apperantly, you do-------

why not tutor us on the difference between an omicron and an omicron minus one datum and teach us how that has no bearing mathematically on a monte carlo analysis of the same datum and the obvious relevance of how faggot republicans are an entirely different Cantor set than Democratic Presidents who, rather than suck dick, get theirs sucked, and how that might effect history (and I won't nail your feet to the floor here too tight) in say more than a 4-8 year timeframe?

the internet the polls the stupidity is asswipe.

Ron

I have been to this website already...
A call in poll, like those held the Gop debates on fox (technically text vote), and  in the msnbc polls after the gop debates viewers called in. The First poll listed was done by fox in which they called 900 people and asked them who they would vote  for if the primary was today.  So, how is this any more scientific than a  poll where people whom watched the debate and called in? Both are done with phone calls, except this time the mass media desided who they called....hmmmm

The other polls conducted the same way, even if the polls are conducted by random dialing of registered republican voters, (I'm registered as a republican I didn't get a call) this is not what I would call scientfic to say the least. I do not believe these polls are anymore creditable than anyothers. What makes you believe they are? Do you have proof that Other political parties are messing with polling numbers? Or is this just something you gathered from fox news? These polls do not include libertarian, independant, green party voters, or voters from other parties that are supporting Ron Paul. I have to disagree that dems want Ron Paul, because they can win against him. Infact I find it to be completely the opposite. He is the only candidate out of the republicans that have a chance in hell to beat the dems in this election. He is the only one that stands to the side. All of the rest of the neocons sound like a bush all over again, and his approval rating speaks for it's self. There are lots of democrats supporting him. Perhaps you should go to youtube and look up Ron Paul's interview on Bill Maher's show. As I'm sure you know he is very liberal, and has a very liberal audience. He referred to Ron Paul as his new hero, and said if America was smarter Ron Paul would be president. Further more his audience was blowing up in applause for him throughout the show. If that isn't liberals supporting Ron Paul, I don't know what is.

No poll, the ones I have mentioned or the ones you have are scientific. However mine, where you didn't have to be a republican voter to vote. It shows there is support for Ron Paul.  I never proclaimed that ment he would win, however I said it does show he as supporters, and I will say we are more than just the internet.

Those uneducated teenagers you speak of, can vote. The youth is excited about the political process and learning about it because of Ron Paul. To alot of them, democrat and republican it's all the same. They are all putting us in debt, they are all taking away liberty for a little bit of so called secruity. We also believe in sovereignty and that the SPP is putting that in immedate danger. Us dumb teenagers aren't buying into the fear mongering. We realize that our dollar has depreciated %96, that our government is over spending. Sending us uneducated teenagers to war, that was not declared by congress  is illegal. Maybe we remeber our constitution  and declaration of independence better since use uneducated teenagers didn't take government so long ago. And in case you have blinders on and didn't realize us dumb teenagers are the future of this country and have every right to have a say in where our government is headed. We don't want to pay for your mistakes. And by pay I litterally mean pay. Do you realize that each american's share of our debt is $175,00? By the time I'm your age I'm sure that number will have doubled if someone with a brain doesn't get in The White House soon. I also believe some of these so called uneducated teenagers could run this country better than Bush has in his 8 year term.

Those people aren't pretending, they are voting for the only real republican of the party!!! It is a tall tell sign that America is waking up.

Hey are the democrats making a bunch of false accounts on youtube to subscribe to his videos to throw us all off? Since I'm sure you know he has more subscribtions than anyone else? Do you think they are making false myspace, and facebook accounts to throw us all off as well? Since I'm also sure you know he has more friends than any other candidate. Or perhaps they spend there day googling the term Ron Paul? Hmmm who's the kook thinking up conspiracy theories agains???

I don't get how he could possibly be so naive to believe those polls are more scientific tham other.
And I don't get how someone can be so narrow minded about things, and just eat what they are force fed with a smile.

Who cares about polls? I don't, I thought you were supposed to vote for the candidate you support not the one necessarily winning in the "polls". If he gets up to 6% from natural building that's very dangerous, as almost all his support has been via word of mouth, I can't say that for Rudy, all of his support is garnered from name recognition via 9-11.

Early Pollster calling typical household....

Who do you support for the Republican nominee for president.
A.) Rudy
B.) McCain
C.) Some guy never heard of
D.) Some guy never heard of
E.) Some guy never heard of.
F.) Some guy never heard of.
G) Romney(oh that's the guy that bought our bus ticket and dinner)

Is different than ....
A)Rudy
B)McCain
C)Romney
D)Ron Paul
E) etc..

Of course in early polls the ones with the name recognition will do the best, but if people actually know more than a soundbite of information about other candidates they are liable to switch.

I've identified as a republican(when given the choice of either democrat or repub), for most of my adult life, and most of the converts(not all), have been republicans. Most just want the government to stop growing, they want the military to stop invading, they want the government to stop degrading rights, and they want the government to stop taxing them to death. That is a pretty common viewpoint from small business owners, to workers. No other candidate can claim a history of working towards all those positions, Some can claim a few no other can claim all.

I've yet to talk to anyone in person, that was hostile to his ideas. Some have concerns, but no one has rejected his views. You really do a disservice disrespecting people, all the time.

Why don't you tell us who you are voting for, so we can proceed to bash on your candidate, instead of being all high and mighty calling people kooks, without laying your position on the table.

Or do you need to wait for the next round of polling data to decide? LOL. just kidding.
