I thought curry was a mix of several spices?

i really don't think the "active ingredient" post about curry is accurate. many curries have ground corriander and many have leaf corriander - totally different taste - and many don't have either. loads of curries have no meat at all and do have corriander.
plenty aren't spicey either.

You might be right, however...

Have you ever found a curry that did not have coriander in it?  The english name curry comes
from the Urdu (IIRC) word for coriander, which sounds something like kari.

Curry powder is a mixture of a bunch of spices but the base spice is coriander.

I am not really looking for a curry mix, I am trying to mix up a curry which has the flavors I want in it.  Garlic,
coconut, peppers, peanut, sesame, coriander, etc.

In keeping with the lime theme, I have no idea how Corona got to be such a popular beer. It smells like a car battery, and has a tastes that makes the lime vital. Corona light, I'm convinced is colored water from Mexico City.

A stroke of marketing genius, or incredible luck.... taking Mexico's sub-sub-sub premium beer (on a par with Schlitz), and getting American yuppies to pay $4 a bottle for it.

Susan,

A week or so back, I watched the Bernie Mac movie 'Look Who's Coming..' and several times in the movie he had ice cold lemonaide (which I hadn't had in a long time).  Since then I got cravings for lemonaide so badly, in the middle of the night I called a friend who drives cab and went to the 24/7 grocery store and bought 3 cans of frozen concentrate LOL.  I gobbled up about litre per day of the stuff and soonafter OMG, my stomache was torn up!  Anyhoo, long story to ask you if you think maybe you have a sensitivity to citric acid (even in powder form) and that is what did ya in?

Btw, my curry is my own special blend.  I am an expert at Indian cooking, my curries tend to have balanced of lesser corriander to chilis ratio. My ex is Urdu and his family taught me traditional Indian cuisine. I cater too.  Lemme know if you want recipe LOL.

Rice cakes, they were supposed to be cinnamon flavored but they were so dry and disgusting. I tried to eat them anyway, cause I hate to throw things away I bought, but yeah, they ended up getting wasted anyway.

5 pounds barley malt
5 pounds crystal malt
Root beer extract
Ale yeast
5 gallons of water.

Brew 5 days in primary, 2 weeks in secondary, let sit bottled for 2 weeks.

I had a big bowl of VagiJacks for breakfast...I have no idea how this product made it to market...The cereal box features kids eating the cereal and dancing around with a gigantic cartoon snatch....Stuff tastes like shit...Just like the real McCoy...No false advertising here.

General reply:

Normally "fat free" products have more sugar in them and I have to watch my sugar intake, I avoid "fat free" anything (fat free = taste free) .

As for osteo-whatever (pre, post, current), I add calcium citrate & dry vitamin D to my diet, milk (whole, 2%, 1%, skim) all have bunches of sugar in them that I can't have so I also avoid milk.

Not surprised Susan, I don't know where some of these food manufactures come up with the ridiculous flavors, but some I have no doubt could make you upchuck. As far as I am concerned, potato chips come in plain and barbeque...nothing else..period. I tried some wierd dill pickle and vinegar chips once and decided right then...I was very right. Doritos original recipe should not be messed with, breakfast cereal should have to remain the same..forever (including the shape), and candy doesn't need 15 variations, a Hershey bar is just fine without any fancy improvements. Fat free...lmao...no thank you. Actually, if I even get a hint that it's been modified to be better for me..it's off my shopping list. I made the mistake once of not buying pretzels for the longest time however, because they started putting "fat free" on the package. I found out later..pretzels have always been fat free...so I decided they might be safe to eat after all. My ultimate, no way am I gonna eat food however is still Spam. Not sure what it is and I don't care what the label says, but nothing that tastes that bad ever lived on my planet  :-)

Mellow Yellow Cherry nastiest soft drink I've ever tasted.  It came out like 2 months after Mountain dew code red and I guess they rushed it to market to compete.  Just thinking about that stuff makes me gag.  On the bright side, it wasn't on the market very long.
