Spam is for carving contests only, I just can't consider that stuff food. Canned chicken, whatever they do in the process of canning it makes it awful. Those Chung King canned dinners; the smell of the can being opened leaves me wanting to run to out of the house. Hamburger/Tuna Helper ugh.

A friend and I once debated a bit about Spam... and what it's really made from. We decided that the name was actually an acronym for the ingredients. All the bits most people found downright inedible: Spleen... Pancreas... ahem... I don't think I'll go on.

I forget why SPAM was originally invented, but if I recall, my mother said it was (originally) some kind of food for soldiers - some version of almost indestructible meat that could weather days in the field, unrefrigerated, without rotting, etc. Which makes me wonder what it does to one's digestive system, actually.

When I was a smalll child, before my dad got a promotion at work, my mom was always fixing SPAM casseroles, and other dishes with SPAM, because it was inexpensive at the time, compared to things like steak, and even hamburger. It thought it was way, way too salty for my taste. I haven't eaten it since then.

Sinergy's right about getting enough vitimin D through sunlight.
Think about it, don't you always "feel better" after laying in the sun for half an hour or so?
I always do.
Some days I might take my lawn chair outside and get 20 minutes of sun and I feel better.

it depends.  some medicines (such as some antidepressants) can make you extremely photosensitive.

some illnesses also leave you photosensitive....i develop a rash and am ill for several days in as little as 10 minutes sun exposure.

everyone is different.
