As I've matured, it's not so much that I've become disillusioned but more that I've learned to pick my battles.

Yeah, I agree.

There's too many things out there I need to deal with before worrying about the immaturity of some of those who ride motorcycles fitted to be excessively loud.  I have a lot of things to deal with first.. and I'm sure this is what you mean.  Still, this doesn't mean I don't dislike those that I can't deal with at this moment, and that, given the chance (such as a vote on a motorcycle ban), I wouldn't do something about it.

So, for now, I'm going to try to avoid those annoying people.  On ocassions like this, I'm going to try to talk some sense into them.  And, if someday, they're too annoying, then they just might be someone to deal with.  I just wish that more were like the bikers who talked about being able to find ways to ride their bikes without disrupting the lives of others.

The ironic part is that, between us, you're the only one who knows enough about "Miss World" to know what "the 'personality interview' stage" is.

You’ve never seen Miss World?

That’s a shame.  It’s a parade of the sad and pathetic.

I would have thought you’d have loved it.

Now, I’m off for a sound night’s sleep.  I have a simply *gorgeous* slave joining me tomorrow, for 4 days of fun and frolics.  I’ll look in from time to time, but you’ll have to accept that you may have to make a fool of yourself all on your own, without me to help you, while I'm gone.

You’ll excuse me if I leave you to your whining and masturbation.

re personality stage of Ms World.
I know what it is : its when some beautiful young woman says she wants to be a hairdresser and is in favour of World Peace so that she can ride around the world  on a Harley and give Nelson Mandela a hug on the way back.

loud pipes save lives........and the vibes ya feel between ya legs aint so bad either

Yes, to both...

For years, one of the most popular “larger than 125cc” class bikes for women, in Europe, was the Guzzi V50 Monza, a V-twin.

Journos used to criticise it for its buzzy vibes, which were present at almost all parts of the rev range.

I’ve never met an unhappy female V50 owner.

Coincidence?  I think not.

I like four stroke thumpers (dirtbikes and supermotos)...

heh.  So, less buzzy, more thuddy, for you?

The Guzzi V50 was a 500 4-stroke … lovely bike, but while the vibes merely annoyed me, they seemed to captivate girls.

The worst for vibes I ever rode was a 1600 Harley – ye gods, it was like having a jackhammer resting lovingly against the back of one’s head.

Still, each to their own, in biking as per BDSM.

My problem is I've only ever watched the swimsuit part. I think they should combine the two sections so that people are listening to what they say whilst wearing the swimsuits. No one ever takes my advice so why would them Miss World organisers?

You know how some of the other posters commented that people with things like noisy bikes, big cars, and things like that.. have small penises?  It's things like this.  I mean, you seem so insecure.

But, whatever.  What do I care?  I'm cool and I'm not sad and pathetic because I don't watch big gay parades.  I have *gorgeous* slave coming over tommorow to prove it, since I don't masturbate like I'm saying you do.  Oh, and I have a huge penis.

--

Well, whatever the case, have fun.  I guess I just hope you stop taking so much pride in being annoying others.

PS-  For anyone reading this, I'm not actually going on about calling him sad and pathetic- I'm just doing a satire of what's in the backquotes.  (His "I have a huge penis" comment was a couple pages back.)

This won’t make any sense to anyone not in the UK, but …

… that’s kind of like watching the footie on BBC1, while tuning in to the commentary on Radio5.

As to Miss World, my personal version would have them all performing hardcore sexual acts for the viewing millions, preferably while having the crap beaten out of them.

Yes, I know … but a man can dream, eh?

I realise that, technically, you’re posting in English, but all I’m getting when I read your stuff is this endless, dull whine.

Anyway, off to bed for me.  Busy days ahead.

Somewhere, between the insults and your claims to having gorgeous slaves and a huge penis- which, I'd like to mention, I'm still unsure of how these things related to the subject of the thread- this has turned more into an argument than a debate about points and such.

I'm just going to add you to the block list.  Not to be an ass, I just.. well, I mean, I know I can't do much if you were to come here and ride around loudly tonight, but at least I don't have to deal with you here, you know?

I do wish you well.  I just wish you weren't so stuck on trying to show off phallic-like things.

From this non-biker's point of view, I've never been on a motorcycle, even though I loved biking....

If biking comes at the cost of either peace or safety, then how could I not want to vote for a ban?

In their favor motorcycles take up far less road and parking space and usually are rather fuel efficient. In a world where people often commute to work alone in a car they can be a viable alternative that saves many resources. On top of that they are just more fun than most cars. There is some statistical evidence that they are safer than cars. This is based on the hospital costs of the survivors of motorcycle and car crashes. On average the motorcyclist will have lower hospitalization bills than the driver of a car.

Curious if you have enjoyed bicycling then there is a good chance you would also enjoy motorcycles despite the discourtesy you have been getting from local riders. Just be sure to get good training before you jump on one and decide to ride in traffic.

It's the loud pipe types that are slowly going to kill motorcycling though because bit by bit they are convincing a larger portion of the population that a general motorcycle ban would be a good thing. The loud pipe supporters are going to do to motorcycling what inconsiderate smokers have done to smoking in public places in the US.

Yes riding a cycle can be unsafe as a few people mentioned. So is taking a dump, Elvis died on the toilet trying to squeeze a big one out. By the way he owned a Harley and was pictured on a album cover sitting on one. Can Miss World make the same claim.

I hate to say it, but I heard a news story recently about having a heart attack on the toilet is more common then we think, that is what made me think about the Elvis heart-a-fart on the toilet.

And now the end is near
So I face the final curtain
My friend, Ill say it clear
Ill state my case of which Im certain

Ive lived a life thats full
Ive traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets, Ive had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
Oh, and more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times, Im sure you know
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried
Ive had my fails, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, no not me
I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has not
To say the words he truly feels
And not the words he would reveal
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yeah, I think it'll be fun to try.  I hope to, after being out of college when money's not so tight (not that bikes are so expensive, but the family helps me out with car expenses- they wouldn't do the same for a bike due to safety concerns).

Yeah.. you're right, and a general ban really wouldn't be fair to mature bikers or those who would've taken up motorcycling in a mature manner.  It would be great if we could just ban the louder pipes; I wonder if that would be fairly effective?
