Because in a vanilla relationship there are often layers and layers of distance, misunderstanding and pretence.
But when you are pissing over your slave, that is a kind of reality and closeness.

The appeal of humiliation to me comes in many forms...the bringing out of the darkness of her inner self those aspects of her that she has always wanted to indulge and offering her a safe way to do so. The control in the situation. The symbolism of the trust and mental connection...and sometimes emotional connection...that has been built that is expressed in being able to humiliate her and have her enjoy it at a deeper level because of the trust and connection. And, as has been noted before, the way it serves to emphasize the positions within the dynamic.

A little more serious, humiliation is more mental then say impact play. For me this brings a more active participation to the power manifestation which again for me deepens the reaction within myself and the power manifestation is my number one by a long shot fetish.

Not having anything hidden from my dominant; reinforcing the level of mental control my dominant has over me; experiencing cathartic emotional pain as opposed to cathartic physical pain; generally, it's a more playful interaction with a dominant, good for easing the tension in the middle of scenes. I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones that occur to me immediately.

Appeal of humiliation? If it floats your boat then have at it. To me its nothing more then a negative energy power trip...and it is not for me at all.

I'm not even sure. It's very high energy, which I like. It usually involves a lot of attentionon me, which I definitely like. It also makes me feel very close and 'obsessed' with my Dominant. Like after he's humiliated me, all I want to do is curl up with him and tell him I love him.
