ORIGINAL: lighthearted I've heard of speaking in tongues but never the other two, being slain and drunk in the Holy Ghost...I'd love a quick explanation of both, if possible. thx As some people speak in tongues, they approach and do so close to the alter or in a spot where they can fall down. "Being Slain" refers to being knocked to the ground by the Holy Spirit. As you are down on the ground, you normally either speak in tongues and or praise God. Being Drunk in the Sprit refers to having more than your average dose of Holy Ghost Joy. You're speaking in tounges, laughing, dancing, maybe even singing. On top of doing all that at the same time, you may also be being slain and getting up over and over as well. Who needs crack when you have the Holy Sprit? Your question reminds me of something to tell. During a healing service, a guy made it down the walk way to be prayed for. The preacher hit him on my head as he yelled "Be healed in the name of Jesus an Slain Gods Holy Ghost!" Not falling down, he hit him again and again and again while saying "Be heald and slain!" Finally, the guy took the hint and fell to the ground. After being helped up, he went back in line. As he made it to the front the preacher ask "Didn't you just get healed?" The guy replied "Yes, I'm healed but now I have a headach."
