So true...When starting any type of a relationship people are going to seek what their comfort level allows. Can you imagine the audacity of a sub to have demands about an individuals appearance, personal hygiene, residential status or what might be initially expected of them?

Things change with time....I couldn't imagine finding someone without any expectations attractive....What in the Fuck would that say about me? lol.

Thank you for expressing this in a way i have not been able to.  It saddens me to see people have such a long list of "hard limits" which, in my own opinion, just sets one up to have fewer possibilities.  Who knew i would find water sports such an intimate act?  Who knew i would find hoods so exciting?  But then again, not everyone likes adventure, would prefer things to be predictable.  i mourn the craftsmanship of old Art Deco architecture but then think, yeah but they can be full of posionous asbestos...  i dislike hearing the "i want to submit totally as long as i can remain totally in charge" comments but then i know there's also a lid for every pot.  i don't have to agree with someone in order to respect their choices.

Since when is Dominating a one way street? One still has to do with another person here.. without the Dominant there is no sub & visa versa.
It's still up to the Dominant what S/He want's to do..

Status: offline 		Sounds like good old fashioned topping from the bottom.   Probally in D/s relationship dynamics a Domme that's enjoys being the bottom (recieving) end of an activity.

Hell, I'm a DOM that has ordered a sub/slave to flog my back.  I have my own maso streak and believe me, I don't think twice about it.

If it looks like a Duck, sounds like a Duck, walks like a Duck, Flys like a Duck... I'm calling it a Duck.

What you just described sounds more like Dommes that like/enjoy to bottom, but as long as it's their way and they are ultimately in control.   Good old fashioned Topping from the Bottom. 

People tend to get Top/Bottom mixed up with D/s.

Now in terms of me wanting to know things that please a submissive.   Hell, I want to know what pleases and displeases 'em.   Any submissive of mine in the past has always been allowed to ask or make a request of me.   I'm in control of yes, no, maybe let me think about it.    Now if a submissive requested something specific like a rape scene, or asked for a spanking not a problem for me to think about, and do it and still be in the top role. She would not really be topping me from the bottom.  If a sub asked to spank my ass... Well, I would be sitting there giving her the big fat HELL NO.

Status: offline 		About the cam? Especially if the domme demands tribute, this is just smart. Otherwise they're paying good money and maybe the person on the other keyboard isn't even female. Identifying who you are for the other person's safety should run both ways. And someone who puts a face shot as an avatar shouldn't be afraid of a live face shot on cam to verify her identity.

aka the "I am woman (or man), Hear Me Roar" submissives.  They are going to bring "twue" equality to D/s.

O.K...that was a bit flippant but I have met those types of submissives too.

In my perspective...and since I am the dominant considering interaction with them, that is what is important to me...they come across, as noted, as being more of a bottom than a submissive.  As a dominant, I understand all about the idea that a D/s relationship is, in the end, a relationship and that it takes two (or more) people to make it work.  In most cases, it is not going to work when the needs/wants/desires of only one are being met.  But in the kind of D/s relationships I enjoy, what a submissive wants/needs/desires is expressed in the beginning and throughout the relationship at negotiation sessions...then, it is up to me as to how and when and where and why and which of those wants/needs/desires I am going to satisfy.  Needs...real needs...are always a priority.  Wants and desires...while they may be a priority, their ranking is up to me.  It flows from the basic premise of "there is room for two partners in this relationship...but only one leader...and it is not the submissive".

Disclaimer (if needed)...What is noted above is part of MY way of approaching D/s and is not meant to be taken as the "only true way" or the "one way".  ~chuckles~  I have not yet come up with "the only ideal way" for D/s.

need to do so. Same holds true on face pictures, which can be and are copied .
