I am at fault. I have done this most of my life.
Finally I have a Sir who works patiently with me and my therapist in helping me, disciplining me appropriately, so I can view myself as something other than what my old tapes have repeated to me endlessly over the years.

M. MR-

I am still going with the cattle prod, or any simple, unequivical negitive reinforcement, for the faint of heart<g>. I see this behavoir as a way of manipulating your responce from being a ligitimate correction to a undesired behavior, and turning it into a ego stroking for the transgressor. It's the sort of thing I have a very low tolerance for. If she was worthless, she'd be at the curb, waiting for a cab. Letting her distract me from the subject at hand is not helpping anyone.
