Dear kittty, Ladies and Gentlemen;
Why some people say that there are no 'true' Dominant women, is most likely they haven't met anybody in the flesh to whom is a female Dominant and or have a deep seated prejudice against women from being anything but lower to males. Arguments about gender anatomy has it where the man is in a dominant or topical position. Arguments about the Bible having man over woman and anything that may be a justification in patriarchal dominance. Although history does show women have taken the dominant role and very accomplished as rulers, Queens, prime ministers, warriors/soldiers and the like; it boils down to individual's ideals of what 'dominant' is.
This debate continues for certain. Not much different from women trying to gain some equality in life. The right to vote, the right to fight in battles, the right to own property, the right to handle and earn their own money, the right to have their own bank account, the right to equal pay which is still unfair to this day, the right to be promoted, the right to be independent and the right to be a woman as the woman sees herself to be; has been a struggle.
As to the argument of who is 'true' or 'real' Dominant, be it male or female; is too generalized. Because each individual has their own measuring of what 'true' and or 'real' is. Individuals are as unique as their fingerprints and, there will be someone for somebody. The importance is being 'real' and or 'true' to yourself (in general) in order to be real/true to others. There will be those who will never see you as true and or real, regardless of the proof. There may be many reasons beind such; such as hate of women, personality conflicts, style conflicts and the variety of bias/prejudices and or insecurities that come with denial of proof that; in this topic discussion -- true or real Dominant women do exist.
I agree with another poster, that too often men confuse a Dominant woman with a domineering woman. I like to think Dominant women are positive individuals as well as positive leadership skills and can manage crisis moments which results in positive endings as much as possible. Domineering to me, is no different than a bully, a control freak and micro-manager. Anybody can be mean, insulting, angry and cruel and or humiliate others and a foul mouth. I like to think women who Dominant others, in general have a higher understanding that they aren't dominant to all--just those who are their immediate charges--be it, submissive, servant and or slave. It is my belief, that women who are Dominant do not force, frighten, intimidate their slaves/submissives/servants into submission but, invite the submission of others.
Just some thoughts.
