ORIGINAL: laurell3 I guess my question would be to those tossing out insults, what purpose does it serve to call another a bitch (other than begging for moderation yourself)? Does it truly make you feel better? Does it make them any less bitchy or merely bring you to their level? Seriously, I'm not being snarky or addressing this to any paticular poster, I really don't see the point to come out and throw the insult out. I may think it and it may diminsh my viewpoint of that person and their ideas, but saying it...seems pointless really. Laurell, i have to agree with You completly here...i've been discussing this issue (were women born bitches or created to be bitches) and as a theoretical viewpoint i do think this could have been an interesting discussion. However, i feel it lacks a few key components. Such as: What exactly is a bitch? How does one become defined as a bitch? Who qualifies as a bitch? What are the characteristics of a bitch? i mean, i know sometimes i am waay to intellectual for my own good, but i really think this had the potential to be a good discussion...However, as many times in life personalities became the ruling factor where principles should have...but hey, apparently i dont' even know why i'm here so my point of view is irrelevant.
