ORIGINAL: kittinSol Frequently, swimming pools in England have "ladies morning", to accommodate those women who wish to swim in a female only environment. I see nothing wrong with it *shrug* - just as there's nothing wrong if men wish to exercise in the absence of women. Strangely enough though, this hardly ever seems to happen . I say, good for Harvard. Publicly or privately owned? The issue is, if you're going to deny people use of a facility that they are helping to pay for, based on their gender, in the U.S., you've gotta have a damned good reason. If i decide to start the University of Dave, and deny female students access to the automotive engineering lab because, well, we all know that women can't drive, there are going to be serious problems. Honestly, i'm surprised that Muslim women that devout are even attending college, but maybe i'm just absorbing too much conservative media.
