Here is a web site about misogynists... compare it to a real dom and you'll get the idea... some doms are simply asses, as are some vanilla men. This may help to tell the difference...

And where's the link to the description of a "weal" Dom?

Oh wait, that would be a link to domiguy's profile right?

Neither of the dominant men I have been intimately involved with resembled the numbered bullets on the link that you handed me....

I have also had some very promising friendships with a couple of dominant men that never went past the "getting to know you" phase, none of them resembled the numbered bullets on this page.

I also have read many dominants on this board, very few  overall would resemble the numbered bullets on this page.

I think there's an explanation for this which few people are prepared to admit. You must first cultivate stupidity and master it before learning wisdom.

I'm by no means an expert but maturity in men appears to be unique and usually results when the obsession with their manhood is replaced by the growth of their soul.

I couldn't agree more. It seems that "weal" domlitude goes hand in hand with crass misoginy - perhaps it's too easy for some to make the leap from one to the other. After all, how can a Dom do a good job if he doesn't love women?

There are more than a few running around these fora, and their property seem to like their ways... so who are we to argue?

Maybe not the dom for me or for you... but someone else could absolutely adore submitting to a misogynist

It's no surprise that list was written by a feminist. Most male-bashing lists are.

Please, please, please do not prove the link right by bashing Feminism.. not all feminists espouse the same thing.

I don't recall bashing anything. I said I'm not surprised that the list was written by one. Because most times I've seen a male-bashing joke or a male-bashing list of some kind, it was written by a self-proclaimed feminist.

I do not see man bashing as a "feminist" value.

You know, it is very odd because I did not really know what feminism really was until my Daddy educated me more about it. He is more of a feminist than I am.

Well most times when I heard a woman with a bug up her ass about men, she always followed it up by saying she was a feminist.

Take that list, for example. Lately...over the last 2 years or so, I've considered myself to have at least borderline mysogynistic leanings. However, almost none of that list applies to me.

That list, to me, appears more along the lines of a joking example of chauvanism, not mysogeny.

That is unfortunate that many women used a movement that had many stages to it to justify their bitterness towards men in general, that doesn't make them feminists though.

I am sure they did not explore UM issues (including male offspring), human rights in general, and basically a desire for equality for all... including minorities, and fighting for the rights of homosexuals too.

Personally I have issues with NOW because of their patriarchial attitude towards women and our sexuality... telling me what is "healthy" for me and what is not. NOW denounces D/s as abuse, except they make no mention of femdom/male sub as being abusive.... so I do know that not all feminist organizations are good, which is why I do not call myself a feminist, but instead a humanitarian.

There is a backlash against those who run NOW for using the patriarchial model for telling women how to live our lives, instead of encouraging women to actualize their happiness any way we like.

And that, from what I hear is the fundamental struggle within the ranks of the feminists. One group says that a woman shouldn't stay home and raise kids because it's a disgrace or whatever. Whereas the other group says that it is a *choice* to stay home and raise their children and that, by its nature is empowering them.

It is women my age and younger that argue that we should make the choices we want.

Some factions went too far with their "beliefs"...

Although I do not think that feminism was ever about bashing men... it was always about empowering women. Women that coopted the movement because of their personal bitterness do not speak for the movement as a whole... no more than a couple of abusive dominants speak for the entire lifestyle....

Misogynist or doms

Misandrists or dommes?

But who really cares? The idea of a woman tapping cigarette ashes into her bruised and beaten slave's mouth while she lectures him on the inferiority of his sex is considered erotic by more than just submissive men. Let the sexes eroticize their hatred for one another. I find it refreshingly honest, as opposed to the stale notion we all should gauge the validity of our desires upon a watch list for "good" behavior.

I'm a feminist and I have no "bugs" up my ass. I don't have a problem with men and I don't male bash. I also have no problems with women who want to be stay at home mothers, home makers or are subs. What your describing is a militant feminist which is totally different from most feminists. I don't agree with the militant feminists anymore than I agree with the men who feel ALL women should stay home and keep their mouths shut.

Just my two cents,
~Lashra
