I wanna say (again cos i can never leave a point alone) that a woman can be a mysogonist, I have met a few.

It's true, and I've met some too. It never ceases to amaze me how much self-hate these women have. :(

There is at least one self proclaimed mysogynist on this site.  There were some extreme things he wanted to use a woman for (to which I said ewww-- literally) and he was disappointed that the only women that seemed interested in his antics were those that had mental imbalances and he wanted one that was mentally sound and didn't want to end her life.

Well, when one starts yelling crazy things, they shouldn't be too surprised when crazy people respond. *shrugs*

i used to know a couple of women who worked in hostess clubs in london.  they were the female equivalent of mysogeny.  they hated men with a passion and used their sexuality to full effect.  robbed them blind and then laughed about it afterwards.

horrible empty sad.

actually never realised there isnt a male equivilant to mysogony is there
lol reminds me of when dad went for a divorce, there was special treatment for ethnic minority, homosexual, young, old, women and disabled thus making the white hetrosexual able bodied middle aged man the minority

Not as commonly known, because men have had it good for so long, so we're gonna let the shit going against them slide a bit, even things up.

So sayeth some.

~fast reply~

Misogyny, Misandry, my only thought is someone who holds such dislike and hate can not possibly be a happy or peaceful individual.  The negativity gets in the way.  I wish them compassion in their lives.

Misogyny can be fun for play, but in terms of my actual mindset Misogyny just ain't me underneath it all.

I really can hate people of my own sex just as much as I can the opposite sex!  Look I think that's pretty equal and not very sexist at all.  LOL..

Geee... all us men ever wanted and asked for was good submissive girls, and we've had nothing but years of disobedience, betrayal, cunning behavior, seduction with women trying to wrap us men around their little fingers and pull strings.  LOL.. Oh lord, could I really be a Misogynist at heart.

It's been hard for us men trying to figure out how to teach a nice piece of ass to properly obey us.   Women often speak in some strange language men don't seem to understand.  LOL...

For everybody out there reading this post!  I am making some jokes here and being a smart ass.  Please Don't take everything above too serious, cause I was being sarcastic as all hell.

Kudos dreamer for posting this and not backing down.

A little note about male-bashing and male-bashing jokes -- personally I never engage in this behavior and I point it out when it is happening.  If anything, it identifies the person doing the behavior as still VERY invested in the patriarchal system.  Feminism is as much about finding freedom for men as finding freedom for women.  I wish I had something snarky to say so that I don't sound so earnest.... but I found the earlier tone of this tread too "sterotypical" to get on the snark band wagon.

I think the list is a good reminder for people (even if you disagree) who communicate on a message board.  Oh, and thanks again for posting it.

Edited to add:  Oh, and I'll take the bait on the "why don't we ever talk about women who hate men" idea.  This would be a good time to point out the idea of hegemony:  1:  preponderant influence or authority over others 2 : the social, cultural, ideological, or economic influence exerted by a dominant group.  The bottom line is that no matter how a person (woman or man) feels about men, men are still on top, their status doesn't change, they still retain power and control culturally.  This is not about how individuals treat each other, this is about how institutions have adopted and maintain control through inequitable practices.
