Yes it is,and extremely old stereotype-from days before birth control. Men liked to know that thier children were thiers-back in days when inheritance really mattered.

An old stereotype we are, hopefully, moving away from, hmmmm? You know... some women strived to get away from such bullshit for centuries: this is why many became nuns, actually... And I think I'd rather be a nun than live on Gor.

But that's because I'm really, really bent [8D] .

but he wasn't well at writing...
changing rules contradicts with what the goreans stand for...so it is confusing by times

Pretty much sounds like BDSM protocols and labels and blah - contradictions and confusion.  [;)]

It gets confusing when people base decisions on thier gonads, rather than practical life-get used to it.[;)]

Justme696 -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:05:14 PM)

gonads?

Least no-one sections people off into coloured dresses based on their age and makes wives help their husbands fuck the youngens though thankful that no one jumped on that band wagon

gonads?

sex organs.

kittinSol -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:06:56 PM)

Reproductive cells producing organs, ie. balls and ovaries.

ModeratorEleven -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:08:56 PM)

Folks, please keep in mind that just because this thread isn't in the Gorean forum that's it's any more ok to bash on it than it is to bash on anything else here.

what?!!!  the books are not true?
who made that rule then?

you don't judge, but still you say it is not in line with what goreans see...lol
goreans are not even agreeing with eachother..

we just have the books....that is what I follow and my own thoughts/intepretation of it.

anyway I have different views on many things.

I'm saying that while I respect your right to your opinion, I seriously disagree with it.  That's all.

Kitten,

For what it's worth, in practical terms many real life Goreans have children with their slaves.  The distinction in real life (vice a discussion about fantasy characters) has more to do with the type of D/s relationship a man has with his woman.  It's a tricky discussion, that has a lot in common with the sub vs. slave debate.

I think the problem is that like BDSM and well most things, people have their own interpretations and ideas, there isnt a list of what is and isnt right so I dont think that anyone can really ask for a defined set of ideas so all that they can do is form their own opinion.

One word I seldom hear with Gor, and nobody barf, please... but what about LOVE? Please explain to me why people have children with their slaves "for practical reasons"? Is it a last resort? Is it "impractical" to procreate with "free women"?

domiguy -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:20:40 PM)

Sorry about the "Gorean Bash"..I heard it was a blast.

Anywhooo...Whatever terminology one chooses to use, it is all truly meaningless. We are nothing more than pots and lids.

The terminology is meaningless..You get what it is that you seek and the same goes for me. All the rest is simply crap for people that really can't understand the concept.

You want a slave? Then pull her off the street and enslave her...Good luck with the cops and the FBI.

This is nothing more than finding someone that enjoys your interests...You like spaghetti? I love spaghetti? You like sushi? ...I love sushi..You like to be tied up and sodomized? ..we should marry.

I don't exactly know who I am allowed to extend out this proposal of marriage...Can I marry anyone? or just a kajira?

If a kajira dates a non gorean is that worse then when a lesbian jumps the fence to get some dick?

auniquegift -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:23:00 PM)

thank you all for the response to my question.
from what i read  on different sites and the gorean forums...
i wnated to clear up what i had read.

the dark.....i was not trying to do anything but clear up things that i had read...
your assumptions about me ...are yours to believe....
but they are wrong.......
i was told when i first was introduced to the lifestyle "no question was a stupid question"
so i asked....

thank you all again for the replies....
a unique gift

RCdc -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:29:30 PM)

My assumptions became presumptions which are correct purely by your statements on how comical you find the gorean board - they reaffirmed that.  Your posts to goreans are all that is needed to be read.  And you posting this post shows your intentions.
Trust me, if I was wrong, I would be the first to hold up my hands to admit it.
I am not.

If you cared to retract your previous statements, then I would be comfortable apologising for then I would be wrong.

auniquegift -> RE: free woman????????????? (3/20/2008 3:48:48 PM)

i can and will retract comical....but i was just answering what someone had said...
excuse me wrong word....and i did not say the boards ...as i do read alot of them....

is amusing a better word....
as sometimes they do seem to have a problem agreeing amongst each other...

as for any other statments you think i should retract...i dont believe i said anything that anybody else hasnt said.....

i am not trying to prove anybody wrong......
as it is not what i was trying to do.......
